Triggering vindictive spirit - Am I missing something?

So I put Vindictive Spirit on Anne, thinking that zombies sound kinda cool. But every time I put a criminal down with my ass wooping healer loli, nothing happens. Does she need to equip some knuckle dusters and run up and punch them or something? Neither her AOE or single target attacks seem to work.

Vindictive spirit works differently. You take control of the enemy which put Anne (or Bianca, if she has that mastery) out of action.

Oh I see! It's who put you out of action, not you put out of action. I see. Time to switch that out then :P

You have to die to trigger vindictive spirit. It's not you kill the perp, you die and the perp becomes your zombie.

To abuse this, use masteries like Second Heart and run into a clump of enemies, die, then everyone around you is now a zombie who will kill all your other enemies. At least for a few turns.

It is not as bad as you think it's pretty strong, but to be honest just killing the enemies is faster. But it's fun to do!
