The story telling is sort of a visual novel, and the art style is truley amazing. If you like Turn based games, this will be up your alley. OH yes, the game has a tonne of content., so expect to spend a while playing this. And there are guides to give you some tips and advice.
One piece of advice is, ignore crafting for the most part, you can easy get new gear as you go through the story, (without spoiling it too much)
But I have to say, the character building in the game is really awesome. There is an unofficial discord channel, that has builds on it.
the only real complaint I would make, it does take time to really get going. but once you got a large group (progress through the story) the game really opens up, and becomes a lot more fun.
The only that really bugs me, is, that I never know if the game saved my progress or not. So far it seems that I didn't lose any progress but I wish there was a save menu or quick save or something like that.
I think if there was a quick save system, it might make the game a bit too easy.
(but if you play offline, there is a workaround)
Also, if you close the game mid-mission, it automatically saves your progress. You can choose to resume the mission or abandon it when turning the game back on.
I chose online play - it wasn't really clear what the real difference was but I felt this is the way it is meant to be played.
Oh tow more questions
- are team mates who die in battle, gone forever (like in Fire Emblem)?
- can I seriously make a mistake or alter the story depending on my choices in dialogue? I can see what other players chose but I am mostly concerned of missing out on some characters when giving a "bad" answer.
Once a week, you can download your current online save to be played offline, but you can NEVER transfer an offline save to be played Online.
What is the Difference between them?
