Some advice for new players and my builds (Spoiler : I'll describe team members that join)
With over 250 hours logged, I just want to leave a few pieces of advice that I wish I knew when I started playing. I'm obviously going to be wrong about a few of them, but I thought I'd share things that really helped me out.

1. At the beginning, you'll want to make sure your hit% is decently high. If it connects, the enemy dies and you don't. If it doesn't, doesn't matter if your crit or damage is higher. Best defence is a strong offence. Make sure your hit% is decent enough. This is true for Sion (for his chain lightning skill, and his beams). A counterattacking Albus and Irene that keeps missing the enemy is useless. Also consider the fact that 30 Action Time is added for every attempt of counterattack, so their turn will come so so much later. An Anne that only heals does NOT need hit%. It's only if you plan to use her to attack.

2. Don't bother saving money, spend it. Spend it on new weapons that are worth it. The weapon vendor in the street shops sells all weapons except for Kylies. Why spend? Because their friendship levels matter, NPC will sell better and better loot/gear/components when they become friendly and higher. Also, selling your gear is a good way to push up their friendship, but i would suggest Salvaging your extra gear instead.

3. Be wary of losing your glass cannons. Sion is an amazing black mage, but i have recently only used him as a Battle Mage. He has this magic armor skill that gives him 100% block that makes him an insane tank. His damage is still ridiculous, but he's now my front line man. Playing a blackmage sion is fine as well, but please make sure he never gets hit. Losing your Gunners or Healer or Fraglies in one hit is always a little painful.

4. There are some enemies early on in Cases that drop masteries you want. Catharsis is easily one of them, use the guides to find out who drops what and how to get them. The first set you'll want to farm is for Shukuchi. Later with Heixing, you'll want to get One Shot One Kill combined with Catharsis on both Sion and Heixing. You might not have enough points for Irene and Albus if you turn them into counterattacking monsters. Either is completely fine.

5. Irene plays very well as a Solo Hero, which means she needs to be away from the group to get the Hero Buff. It does take a few more masteries on her to make sure she doesn't die easily, from Veteran to make sure she's not stunned, to finding a way to regenerate the HP she loses..

6. Master both classes for each character. The reason being, the actual abilities they can use become unlocked and shared. I do have some preferences for the classes, here they are.

Albus - GS. I do like his magic knight build, but I find GS albus to have an easier time overall. I build him with as much block as i can and zero ranged skills. Took me a while to realize his windwalking didn't take an action point and allowed me to travel further, higher and melee everything to death. Bleed build is the way to go, but it doesn't work too well against robots. His set at lvl 40 gives him 30% block. I suggest aiming for this asap, because otherwise, you'll have an Albus that does great... until he gets one shotted.

Sion - Battle mage. I love big numbers, but i prefer having a front man that still pull of huge numbers and not die. 100% block achieved instantly with his Magical Armor.

Irene - Battle mage. I loved martial arts, but i would always run a 30-50% chance of her dying when i was farming Magenta Street (lvl15) on hard. To enaable Hero, she has to be alone, and it's amazing because when it's on her, she gets 30AT reduction when she kills anyone. Without it, her turn can be delayed so so so much which kills her off so easily. WIth 100% block Magical armor. Later, I find MA to be easier to build, because she has more masteries available to her to build towards 100% . I rarely play her with the team. She's the one that i place on the bench when you have 9 members. I might re-evaluate that later, cos with the other Panda Personal Mastery, i think she can chain 5 attacks together on some bosses with her Overcharge Skill. Btw, my current Irene is now a dancer. I weave specific dances and it's really awesome/

Anne - I know everyone loves White Mage, but i use her as a Witch. Took me a while to build her up nicely, but her damage numbers are quite terrifying. Also, i don't have empty wasted turns any more, i can use her aoe debuff skill to add buffs to everyone around me. She's not built optimally for sure, but I'm very happy with her current role. Still amazing healing, but she's got terrifying damage too. Select the best mastery sets you can get. Note that Properity, and Best Conditions were two masteries that really sped her up for me.

Heixing - I like him better as a Sweeper, but am currently running him as a Ranger. Why? Simply for the 100% machine hunter skill. I would suggest having a Sweeper leveling build for him, with all 4 exp skills on him (Learning, Understanding, Insight, Supporter). Also, he's how i leveled up to 50. The guides describe how to power level a character, and lets face it, the game is more fun when you're stronger. Make sure you have one shot one kill and catharsis, the rest is all up to you on how to increase his damage. I've to admit, his sets aren't bad, but they're not great either.

Ray - Damn she's strong. I use her as an alchemist. She's only got one spray, so i use the overdrive one. With Create Compounds skill, her damage is really high, insane range and her 1S1K+Catharsis makes her truly terrifyingly powerful. Plus, her healing cloud is a damn lifesaver till endgame.

Gisele - One year ago i stopped when i recruited her in EA. Only picked up the game again at launch and i'm so glad i did. I underestimated her. Her damage is insanely high. Beginners, immediately change her to Hunter class then change her back to Sniper if you want. That's so that you can use the Tame Beast skill (can use it in sniper too). I use her as a hunter, because I like summoning legendary pets. I've been trying out a few pets, they're all great in their own way, but my favourite right now is the Princess Frog. Her basic attack hits 6 squares away in a line and it's 100% freeze effect. With Pincer Attack, I can even aim at an enemy carefully that will have my pet follow up attack. I've tried it with the altruism trait. I'm also running with hunter because I want the legendary laborer synergy with Hunter. My next move, is probably to train up non-legendary animals that I can use with a Sniper. Let me honestly say, some pets are even stronger than my main crew. While drones are very very tanky, none have come close to the damage of pets so far. i hope i'm proved wrong on that.

Kylie - I don't see that much difference between the two, but i've started using hacker simply due to how convenient it is. Her holograms make great fodder, her attack protocols hit hard if specced properly, and her drones are the best tanks they are. The drones ignore damage less than 10% of their health. My current drones have 5250HP so they're immune to almost all damage coming in. Best tank ever. Also, I set up the drones to Auto Support fire, so they shoot everything that fails to die when attacked in their range. Their range is 12 squares. Also, later on with the right accessory, you can summon 2 drones instead. Amazing. She can also hack robots.

Leton - My favourite. I use him as a superstar, I love how insane he is. I upgraded all his frostbites to freezing, and have him freezing everything, while weaving insane dances. He's my favourite, but i've yet to achieve 100% dodge with him. I managed to get enough points to get one of his mastery sets that gives him 60 Anti Freeze instead, and every single ice skill i use, i recover 10% hp and vigor, which is wonderful.

7. Take note that some story stages drop very important masteries, and you'll need to play different characters to beat them. Feel free to ask if you're having trouble with a stage, i'll try share how i beat it.

8. Take note of your ESP or ATK. Some skills use more, some use less. When you mouseover your skills at the top left, you'll also see what Masteries you have equipped that affect it. This is important for you to find out which effects will best serve you. This was especially important for my Leton who I managed to make his basic attack do nothing, but all his other attacks would FREEZE the enemies. Some attacks with high damage did not have the FREEZE effect, so i put them aside. It's truly the skill that made my lvl 46 violent Magenta Street so so much easier.

9. Revisit your masteries every few levels, you might have a completely new build come to life. My latest one is putting Honest+Persuation+Open-Minded+Self-Examination on all my characters. Heixing and i think Gisele have the option to use at least 3 pieces of a set to add 25 speed, it's only after this set that i felt comfortable to remove Shukuchi from them to make way for other more powerful masteries in their place.

10. Veteran on all your characters is a must. You can use Massiveness if you cannot make it work, and the only character i do not have either on, is Leton. I use his buff instead to make him invulnerable to physical but it's very dangerous. (lasts 3 turns, 6 turn cd which u can reduce with catharsis)

11. If you don't want to get one shot or two shot, try a few things out, impulse fields is expensive, but does save lives. Blocking is preferable for people like Albus and Irene, whereas Leton would prefer to dodge. Do not let Gisele, Heixing, Ray, Kylie and Anne die easily.

12. The game has so many possible builds and combos, and you can have tons of fun building up a team the way you want to. There's even a mutant build, where everyone has that mastery on them and u pelt as much damaging aoe clouds possible around you so you end up with tons of buffs, even immortality.

13. Jurisdictions are pretty great. I've got 5 now, and am enjoying the items, the armor the information etc they provide. I won't tell you where to put yours, but I did do Magenta Street, and do the 1 man Albus 2 minute run. Basically you can appear, kill oliver and retreat immediately on Normal mode+ and after 5 runs, u can get 25 information on anyone. That allows you to max our bosses instantly. Initially the money from this was so important, less so now. The items they give you from jurisdictions seem to be based on crafting level as well, so i'd work on that. I love the lvl 45 purple and red gear they drop for free.

14. Some fights are frustrating. Do ask if you cannot pass it. I remember having to do one fight as Ryo over 5 times.

Those are just some tips, I've finished lvl 46 magenta finally, and am trying to get those multi processor units to control two drones at once. No luck so far, but here's to the grind =D

Feel free to ask if you have questions, or correct me if I should know better. Happy to learn.

Kinda have to agree and disagree on some tips, btw thanks for sharing!
I'm not at a point you are, but...

1. A higher chance to hit is the #1 reason to equip an item that has some other stats lower. If you can't hit hostiles, well... What's the point of 78634578635786 attack power?
Healer Anne for sure doesn't need it, but witch Anne that can get rid of John's unkillable buff and stuff does need it so you still want it on her.

2. Absolutely agree. No reason to pile up thousands, just spend it on anything that feels useful at the moment.

3. Eh? Actually you should say do not lose Sion if there are robots on the map. His electricity fries them while swords and bullets barely chip their HP. Luckily, earlygame there are no robots. ;)

4. Catharsis mastery doesn't drop earlygame. The first boss that drops it appears post level 30 on one purple map (IIRC Darius). While some said it's obtainable early, I cannot confirm repeating a certain story numerous times works as I don't want to waste time on that when I can get it by "legal" means. Besides you need to kill two level 22 opponents by Albus alone, good luck doing that on level 1.
Everyone's mastery board needs Shukuchi (mastery set) so your heroes can zoom all over the map and it has to be the first thing to put on a board even if it means removing some default masteries a character has when recruited.
One shot One Kill mastery is also a must for everyone except Anne, but there is no need to rush it.
You can and you'll have enough points with counterattack on both Albus and Irene. In fact, do also add Forestallment on Albus. As early as possible. No need to rush. Later in the game when you get past level 30, sure, you can go other routes, but earlygamethese things are husthaves.

5. All of that is true, and additionally Phoenix Heart mastery on Irene is a must! You'll loot it pretty early so don't worry.

6. You should say it this way - do not switch class until it's maxed (lv 16 of class, not of the character!). You can switch, true, but you want to gather all researchable masteries for all classes.
A player can always prepare a separate mastery board for each class so the rest of what you wrote, which class is better, I cannot comment. It's kinda not helpful for game starters except what you said about Anne. As a witch she can still pull out enough of heals and can emit area vigor regeneration aura so basically depends what the player wants to do with her.

7. There are three such story missions. All three happen only after you recruit Ray which is not earlygame and you'll probaby be around level 30 or higher. These are:
Chapter 4, 4th mission - Scent of the Past
Chapter 4, 5th mission - Astonishing Reunion
Chapter 5, 2nd mission - Taking a Step Back

8. That is irrelevant for earlygame. ATK on melee, ESP on spellcasters unless you want to try some trolling builds. Maybe those could work? Late game, sure, try to have both as high as possible. But noone has Leton earlygame so you could have explained why ESP ring can still be very useful on Irene instead of knuckles.

9. Revisiting is useless if you have no plan what to do. To have a plan you need to know some stuff about each character. For example Albus will later unlock a mastery that heals him if he hits an enemy who's bleeding. Means what? Make sure Albus can "inflict" bleeding on trashmobs so you don't need Anne nearby.

10. Massiveness, so far in my game (I don't have Leton yet) is utterly useless.
Veteran is a must as early as possible, yes - till you get Anne's aoe remove debuffs skill and upgrade her heal to remove debuffs too (both work regardless if she's healer or witch). Irene has a specific mastery (IIRC Cauterize) to automatically remove debuffs so she doesn't need Veteran, definetly not earlygame.

11. Both block and dodge are equally important. Albus won't survive an electric critical hit if he doesn't dodge it. Unless you equipped him with high el. resistance, but then you're risking other elements damage. When equipping/buying something, try to get stuff with both block and dodge +%.

12. Yes, but that's not a proper hint. A proper hint is - play offline. When you want to test a build, make a backup of your savegame(s) then experiment - you can always return the old save if things backfire. And you won't lose any training manuals and other stuff you grinded for months.

13. Cmon. Second jurisdiction needs to be Blue Fog (you get random 4 blue+ items after 5 missions). It'll take a while to unlock more jurisdictions and these need to be Wall District (Shadow Fog, Magenta Street, Shadow Wall) as all 3 get you +100% information bonus plus you get 30 manuals after 5 missions thanks to Shadow Wall).
If you want to grind unique boss drops then switch Blue Fog to Metrodium (so you don't lose drops upon continuing from checkpoints plus chests are visible on maps - unless you have so many cash to buy those from traders).
The Oliver abuse is required only when you're done with all other grinding - no reason to complete a boss that way when you'll complete him in the next scenario because he appears there.

14. I'm 100 hours in the game. Who's Ryo?
No fight is frustrating. If you lose, try to approach the mission another way. I've mentioned John above. You'll encounter him on a bridge when you still don't have Ray to debuff him and if your Anne isn't a witch, simply end the mission after rescuing all civillians and replay that mission later (if you want to kill him).

And a question as you probably finished the game. There are 9 members total and you can take 8 on missions. Which one you decided to leave out of future ventures?
Who's the weakest link? :)

Regarding Shukuchi: Accidently, I don't have it equipped with any character and I don't miss it. I'm playing on Hard Difficulty with Challenge mode always on. I think it depends on how you approach a map and what your playstyle is.

It is a useful mastery set, of course. If you can equip it, do it. But I don't think it is "must have".

Erm, I should have written that my remarks are about normal/normal game. I have absolutely no idea what's useful or is irrelevant on easier or harder difficulties.
Once I finish the game I might go replaying missions on baby or nightmare modes for some more fun, but the game is IMO challenging enough on normal - there is no way your companions won't ever "die" on normal difficulty.

Lol, am very happy to disagree. I think i was quite tired when i wrote this, reading back, some lines are even disjointed. But it's interesting to see what i didn't mention and what i agreed/disagreed with. I just wrote out some points for new players because i realize there are alot of them, and it's actually quite a high learning curve.

1. Agreed. yup
2. yup

3. Um, all characters are strong enough, even my melee and ranged ones. Use Breakthrough mastery if the enemy blocks too much. Sion's definitely got big numbers, but so do the rest. My Anne's numbers are actually higher than Sion, and i don't know why. The first robot you'll fight are the small ones, Heixing wrecks them. The first bicron you meet is a monster, but all can damage it well enough, Sion's esp does make it easier. Sion died in one hit to the robot as a black mage even when he was in cover. So, yeah, i'd recommend battlemage.

4. Catharsis drops off Bianca in that early Ramji plaza mission. I got it on my 2nd try. If it doesn't drop, just redo the mission. It takes so little time, and i don't know why you would otherwise wait til you can kill Darius (I hate him so much when i first fought him). And no, it's not cheating. If it was, the developers wouldn't have put it in there. Bianca, Alisa and Leton drop masteries in that map that you can't get til later. I would equip the Informant mastery then farm til you get it. (Informant mastery increases mastery drop by 50%) Also, your company mastery should be Expertise (is that the name? for 50% more mastery drop rate)

5. I don't necessarily recommend phoenix anymore. It costs 3 points, and only works if you have fire sp. I've tried stages on hard, had her go down, revive, then die again. Better if you can just not die in the first place.

6. It's a given that you have to max out both classes, for the masteries and skills. The reason you don't need to state it usually is because the masteries you unlock as a Witch, for example, are only equipable as a witch. You won't be able to use them as a White Mage. However, the skills that you unlock are readily sharable across both classes. Do note, please finish your basic first class to 16 before class changing. I had to swap my Irene back because I needed her class lvl 16 Martial Arts manual due to swapping too early.

7.Yup

8. No, you should read the skills. For example as a GS Albus, you have tons of ATK and almost no ESP. That means your ranged wind skill that only does +esp damage is not going to hit hard at all. So check with your skill descriptions to see is it (+75% attack power)+(25%esp power) etc... and figure out what works best for your character. Some characters have a good balance of the two, some do not. There is a mastery under Abilities that later can up your damage by equalizing the two, but i rarely use it. Please don't pump up your esp attack on Albus or Irene if most of your attack is physical and viceversa. You will only pull down your damage potential by splitting your attack power up. This applies also to Ray, Kylie and Leton. Heixing and Gisele are purely ATK, and Sion and Anne are purely ESP

9. Revisit la.

10. Massiveness is fine. It costs only 1 point and prevents you from getting stunned due to those stupid explosions or being pushed into a wall. You can still get stunned from stun specific skill, but that's the price of 1 point. The nice thing is that you can't be pushed back from Clenched Fist and can get your counterattack. Do not depend on cauterize for Irene. What happens when you're stunned on Irene is that you'll probably die in a few attacks after that. Stunned irene will melt completely, forget blocking or dodging when you're stunned, and because she's a Lonely Hero, and all alone, she's probably not going to be saved. Always, use Veteran on Irene. Cauterize will not save you when stunned.

11. I'd suggest Blocking damage instead on Albus, as with his proper mastery sets, he gets -30AT for blocking anything which makes his turn come faster. You'll naturally have a high dodge on Albus already, do not add to it, just go for block. If you get attacked 3 times and dodge+counterattack with albus, you'll have your turn come 90AT later for every single counterattack. Stick with blocking, and 3 blocks later, his AT is completely unchanged. Block is the way to go in my opinion.

12. You could play offline, but i'd suggest just sticking to online. You can always swap your masteries with training manuals easily, also because any progress you make offline doesn't count any more. Stick to online play if that's what you enjoy, and even your failed builds still get your money, exp, and gear.

13. The gear you collect from the randomly pile isn't very important early game. I'd recommend the magenta one anyway, because that's how to easily hit 100% information on some bosses that are painful to kill over and over again.
The way the gear works is related to your crafting. So only when you've unlocked the top crafting possible, the gear will go up from lvl 30 to 45 blue/red gear in the randomly pile. Since you know you're gonna be lvl 50 in no time, focus instead on masteries (these never go out of fashion), enemy info due to unlocking the masteries you need, and getting your crafting maxed out. Crafting is annoying, so you'll want to have lots of parts and gear available to you to get it. I would suggest trying to get Leton before investing too hard into Jurisdictions. Why? Because when you get him you'll have 5/5 Jurisdictions, and you'll be able to set up your jurisdictions in a way that your reputation never drops with the maps you play, you get tons of money and free items for all your missions (regardless of even lvl 6 or 7 missions), and the most bang for your buck. You can definitely grind earlier, but you'll get less drops from jurisdictions, less money, and less impact. Follow the guide for where to grind and how to grind.

14. I won't spoil it for you. Just keep playing. John is killable, you might lose a member or two, but just kill him after that.

Right now, my Irene is on the shelf. Unfortunately, everyone else is just too good, and her biggest problem is the need to be alone.
Albus is solid, and with his 100% block, he does not go down easy. His critical strike counterattacks that 100% land, are exactly why you want to build block and not dodge.
Sion, 100% block, can chain kill easily with 3-4 AOE skills. DO NOT put counterattack on this guy. Have his turn come as usual and kill them with much harder hitting skills.
Anne. Super healer and super high damage that's so scary even though i didn't build her up to be dps. Witch ftw. That's not even including all her buffs from dead spirits.
Heixing. Best aoe in the game. Keep him alive, his overcharge skill that shoots nonstop is incredible and only a few bosses are resistant to it.
Ray. Wow. How can i drop her? So much ranged aoe damage that i can chain if i link it carefully, and her ability to put down AOE healing cloud that counts as a smokescreen? Overcharge at will? Wow.
Gisele. She summons the Ice Albino Frog. 6 range instant aoe freeze. Makes all those terrifying bosses in the hardest lvl 46 map seem so damn easy.
Kylie. She can hack robot bosses, and summon drones that can't die with special armor. Drones are the best tank in the game. You can set it up so they autofire support webs or ice cannons at everyone you attack. Also, she can speed up (Awaken) everyone. With one char, you can get 3 controllables (Kylie+Drone1+Drone2)
Leton. Freezes everything. Scary robot is frozen. Immune to physical debuffs. Gets extra turns, and with 1S1K and his aoe skills, my turns never stop coming. He dodges all the attacks, which makes his turn come -10AT for every single dodge. Autoheal and vigor per his attack with his builds. I love this man.

So yeah, i had to drop irene. She's strong, but needs to be alone for Hero to work. Robots are immune to fire. I even tried the Spotted Negoori for instant Hero buffs, but that only lasts 3 turns. I can't trigger Hero easily with a team, even at end game, so I'm afraid I haven't found a way to make her work that i enjoy beyond the other 8. I do have a build on her that's quite special though, that involves getting her CMP charges that auto heal her, which makes her turns come faster with Enough Rest, and this CMP charge is happening nonstop, with every single attack on her. I think maybe i could build something there that doesn't rely on Hero.

Oh yeah, Irene is fire and fire removes my Freezing effect. So... no.

Devs, could we please have all 9 characters on a map? Pleaaaaase?

And thanks Jox for the comments. Hard upwards is a different ballgame because of all the random masteries on the enemies, even Albus etc can get oneshotted very easily. Skull Slasher vs Albus, Albus always loses (for now). Its quite sad, but just makes you want to find a build to overcome such problems. Lvl 46 Magenta Street is a completely different beast where I've died just moving. You move, someone shoots you from overwatch, then instantly, 4 other snipers with Fire Support skill attack you by "supporting" that overwatch. Instant death. Very dangerous without the tankiest tank.

And thank you devs for this game. Everyday i try something new with my characters, not necessarily better, but very fun! Today i'm planning to try get 25 info on Tyron and Hellfire for their 2 Ability Masteries. Also just got my Ice Tima so gonna see if i can build a Sniper Gisele that doesn't need a legendary Freezing Beast =) Everyday, you give me something new, and I'm very grateful!

Irene cauterize doesn´t prevent irene to get nuked down while it´s not her turn and she has been stunned...

Will try out the Batlle mage 100% block sion, I can´t kill machine before he dies at endgame so this may be the solution

MY BUILDS

These are my current builds, i'm still working on them, am missing 2 masteries that i need from Tyron and Hellfire. After i get those, maybe can improve these even more.

Please note that many builds are item dependant, like how i remove shukuchi on some because i've gotten the 3 piece set to give 25 speed to them, or if the tanks like sion are vulnerable to ice, i'm using an anti-ice Tool so he can't get frozen.

Great Sword Albus
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086490114

Battle Mage Sion Tank
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086490136

This Sion is missing the mastery i need to include Sage into this build. I like Sage because when i put it on, i get SO much from it.
However, if u try this build, you might be surprised by how insanely tanky it is. This build is not immune to freezing so you'll need anti ice gear if fighting a freezer.
Today, i gotta get the mastery from Tyron or Hellfire, can't remember which.

Dancer Irene
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086490168

Not done with irene, but this is working for now

Witch Anne
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086490195

My Anne does not have veteran (u can take off Prosperity and put Veteran in instead). The reason being in all my maps, she's never in danger, and not possibly stunned. I put massiveness on her instead. Super high damage. Once you try her, you'll notice dead spirits... and how insane they are.

Sweeper Heixing
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086490216

I'm not sure how good his Heixing build is, I possibly should include breakthrough, but it's working fine for now.

Alchemist Ray
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086490254

My killer Ray, very proud of this one. Make sure you use Creating Chemical Compound

Hunter X Hunter Gisele
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086490291

This Gisele is meant to be played with a pet that has huge range like the frog (6 range), or the draki (8 squares). Your pets will follow up your attack and thanks to Altruist, your turns are faster than ever. The reason i didn't bother with some mastery sets, is because some are redundant, and my pet is rarely 2 tiles away from me (so no -10AT). I think this build could be even better, but it's fine for now. My next goal is to make a Sniper build with an Ice Tima (non legendary pet that cannot die). Works very well for now.
If i weave in serial shot, i can freeze two bosses that i've thrown my pet next to, so damn easily with this build. (Shoot boss, pincer attack will make ice frog freeze bosses, note that tongue is aoe in a line.)
Oh and the pet has the Draki tool that give it instantly his turn when he takes 33% damage. With predator, he's back to full health again, and again, and again.

Engineer Robot Farming Kylie
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086490324

This is meant to farm the robots for the multi processor unit. I still haven't gotten a single one, i need 2 of them to make the Tool to enable Kylie summon 2 drones.

Superstar Leton
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2086490363

My special Leton build. So proud of it. No veteran, so you'll need to be careful in making sure your Physical Immune buff is always always up. I wish there was a way to include Endless Training in here, but I've played for a while carefully, and for me, it's more important to have super high chance to freeze instead. May analyze this further, but for now, my Leton is my best tank that has the most turns. Every single boss frightens me on my other characters, except Leton. He just dodges and freezes everything, nullifying the fear factor. Oh, and lets not forget his dances, which can fear them, reduce ALL enemy AT by 20, or give him extra turns etc.
Oh, and freeze lasts for 3 turns. How amazing is that? How does poison or fire or electric compare to that?
My leton does get hit though, so every single time he casts an ice skill, he gets 10% hp etc.
Make sure the skills you pick have Absolute Zero on them. I ignore all the other skills that don't.
Oh if you notice, i took off counterattack. Instead, i'll kill them during my turn, on my terms. With counter attack, he'll have -30AT, and you will be attacking with ur first skill, which is your weakest skill. Why not just dodge the attack, let ur turn come faster, have the enemies still at full HP, and use ur other skills to 1S1K+catharsis away? I use his aoe skills always to kill off bosses + full health minions, so i get another free attack after. If you have used counterattack, his minions should be dead, and you'll only get 1 attack on the boss. Leave them alive instead and aoe 1S1K the bosses down in one go. With this build i've gone from 50% hp to full health in one turn, cos every ice skill heals him 10%hp and 10% vigor. Oh and you do realize with Enough rest, you also get -10AT and 10 vigor for everytime you're healed No Anne for him, I don't know why you'd place Anne close to the front lines to heal him.

So those are my builds. They're obviously not perfect yet, I've not finished the game yet haha. I also have every single build be different to the guide's builds. I'm sure theirs are probably better researched, but this is so far working well for me.

Do ask any questions if anything's unclear.

For Leton, I think it would be better to prioritize Endless Training over Superstar masteries since you can't make Freezing Chance 100% without it. Also, he has nice synergy with ice grenades which'll give him freezing AOE.
Noble Ten May 5, 2020 @ 9:59pm
To me Leton is my weakest link.. 1, I dont like him.. 2 he seemed to die alot and kinda sucks. I changed him to superstar but he doesnt really seem that good. So he stays in home watering the gardens and feeding the taming beasts..... probably. Well it might just be I havent figured out how to use him or his combos. But he does die alot /shrugs

I used Anne as witch when I first got her.. I only noticed her being "decent" nothing special, I found Sion as a better mage. But I kept her as witch, until I got Griselle, who is insanly the best DPS on my team as a sniper. I know you lot are saving shes best as hunter.. But from my experience, the more shes kills a sniper, the more she keeps on giving (enemies with impulse fields are her bane tho). So had Anne changed into the white mage support/team buffing role. Which pretty much is her story character anyway.
Sion is probably the best burst damage DPS, but I had him Black Mage until I could craft Iron wall for Magic armour, then I changed him to battle mage and acts as a front liner.

This is my team I settle on
Albus- Great Swordsmen
Sion - Battle Mage
Irene- Martial Artist
Anne - White Mage
Hexing Bro - Ranger
Griselle - Sniper
Ray - Achelmist
Kylie- Engineer
Leton - Superstar (my bench warmer)

As for Tamed Beast. Been using a Magna Tima whos like a sturdy Tank and attacker (alrounder I guess) with Forstallment and punishment. Good guard dog :p.... Also use Adventurer Dororie with the "I like Anne". So amusing and cute.

Lol, my Leton gets 3-4 turns for everyone's 1 turn. His dodging - 10AT, Best Condition -10AT, Enough Rest - 10AT per attack he does (cos every ice attack heals him). Without Endless training, his Ice Spear freezes at 75% chance, and Frosty Half-Moon Kick at 83%, both his overcharge are at 100% freeze.

Just asking, how high is your block and dodge on your Leton? I don't know why he would die easily. Easily the only character i have that can solo the whole map without problems. Every other character i have can die to say, Red-Eye or one of the big bosses in the Magenta Violent Map.

One thing Leton doesn't do, is hit that hard compared to the others. So once you freeze up the enemies, it's good to have someone clean up, like Heixing. I tend to chain freeze the enemies nonstop and let someone else clean up. If you're trying to focus down one enemy with Leton, that means you're not freezing someone else. Focus on freezing, unless you have a combo for the extra turn. If you're doing it right, you should be overcharging nonstop.

Is there a way i can link a video of how Leton cleans up? Not too sure how to upload videos here

Of course it doesn't. She got nuked in my game all the time and not because of any kind of stuns but because I'm exploring the map with her, lollygagging somewhere while the rest of the team is struggling against a dozen of big robots whatever their name is. ;)

But that's why you add her phoenix (and whatever related masteries for mastery set with cauterize and phoenix) after what she can escape somewhere safe - thanks to shukichi.

We'll all disagree on something because there are so many build possibilities. But that's the beauty of this game. :)

I suspected she's the one to drop after getting all 9. Practically no cc, no tankyness, others' damage outshine her, no wide AoE skill, fire stays on the ground (and causes friendly fire) - and she needs to solo.

I'm just at the point where you get Kylie, so I can't attest to end game missions, but so far Irene has been nearly busted for me on Cruel/Challenge. I've been building her as a Hero build, and she's been incredibly tanky and fast. A lot of time, I just run her into 6+ enemies and sometimes she doesn't even lose 30% health and gets her turns fairly quickly even after counterattacking all the time. She has some really solid control if you try to get the masteries that decrease/increase AT when she's hit. Also, her flame explosion(the one you get from battle mage) can hit everyone around her, which will usually be at least 4+ people. I've killed 7 people at once from it before.

When I get to end game, I'll see if she's still as good.

I do agree, she's actually one of my strongest heroes... until you get to endgame. I think the problem with having her run off alone, is that at endgame, she can run into bad luck and die quickly. Enemies are able to get lucky shots in or almost kill her off. Sometimes they counterattack and crit, just like Albus, and it's devastatingly painful. With most of her builds, there's not enough room for a solid defence like Impulse Fields and so forth. Basically, you'd want someone there with her, which makes activating her Hero buff a pain.

Towards endgame, alot of enemies do not go down in one hit, so it does mean that her counterattacking just keeps pushing up her AT (she'll not get her turn). When you compare her to two drones that have 5k+ hp that take zero damage from attacks due to Special Armor, it's just smarter to have those drones tank in front and everyone else blast the enemies from behind them.

Also, amongst the 9 of the characters endgame, she doesn't stand out towards the end as well as some of the others. I definitely agree in using her on any team, but i just find the other 8 more useful in general. Right now, i'm actually having a little trouble with my Sion because for some reason, he's just so slow. Sure he can hit hard, but so can everyone else.

Oh, i just finished the game.

Congrats Devs, that was some ride.

I do wish the english translation was better, especially for stuff like 1st spoon or 2nd spoon etc... so much of it i couldn't understand.

I really really am looking forward to Episode 2. Please please give me Ryoooo (^o^)

well, its seems for me the game become more complicated than i thought, i felt i know nothing about it. im still learning here. so you guys said that you havr to get Shukuchi (mastery set) in the begning so how to get this mastery because i have not even one mastery i dont know how to get them anyone can help me with this please?!!
matthew May 6, 2020 @ 9:49am
Lightning Reflexes + Run + Bounding Stride + Extreme Speed

equip those masteries, and you will get the Shukuchi mastery set.

I'm still fairly new to the game too, there is a lot to learn.

There this is a good guide for mastery sets

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1349483727

really useful info there.

If you check out the Guides section you'll find some great guides, but you'll need more than one. the one above shows you what mastery sets are, and great tips as well as sample builds. There's another guide that shows you where every single mastery drops so you know who to look for, as well as which stage every mob appears.

There's also another guide that has pictures of every single mastery in the game in case you want to read up on what each mastery can do.

Takes a bit of time to figure out which masteries work best for your characters but following the guides can't lead you wrong. Shukuchi is so recommended because the increase of 20 speed and movement distance is so valuable, and it only costs 6 mastery points to make. Early on where speed gear is more rare, it's really a great mastery set for every character you have. Without it, turns come so much more slowly, and you'll wish you could move further.
