This is my build. I don't know if it's the best one out there, but i'll tell you how solid he is.
The thing to note about these frogs is that they're considered melee, even at 6 range. So when he's shot at, he Counterattacks in a 100% Freezing line, every single time. He hits so unbelievably hard with this build, and if he kills them, he's healed.
So you make sure when you move him, DO NOT put him near you, but place him as far into the enemy territory he can go while attacking. You can actually calculate if they're at least 6 boxes from him. I've even seen the turn order to calculate where to place him so when he counterattacks, he'll hit and freeze/kill 2-3 enemies at once.
FORESTALLMENT is the silent prize here. I do wish i had the points to make sure his forestallment could reset with every kill (mastery set called Overpower. What happens in say, the hardest map like Magenta Street, is when a boss comes towards him, he Freezes them, they don't even get to attack. All the Skull bosses that are ranged, attack him, then he counterattacks and freezes them. I've had 4 frozen in one turn thanks to this guy. I got lucky when i tamed him to get Bitter Cold which is a mastery that gives you -3% damage for each ice mastery you have on. He does get hit a little, then kills someone and bounces back to full health.
COUNTERATTACK makes it so that he can freeze everything that attacks him, but it's more likely, that they die when he counterattacks. When they die, predator feeds him back to full health usually. You can also put the Draki's Fancy Scale on him so when he takes more than 33%hp damage, which has happened, you get ur turn instantly. I usually then line up a boss with a minion, and attack. The boss might survive, but the minion who dies, gives you back your hp.
Why no 1s1k and catharsis? They take 5 points in attack. I can't afford it. PLUS, when he moves to the enemy to attack, his hit% isn't great. I can't gear him up for hit%. When he counterattacks, forestall or attacks without moving (2 full AP points), his hit% is very decent. So place him as a counter, forestalling tank in the middle of the enemies. You do have backup heals if you need them, which makes him very very solid on the front lines.
You'll notice Altruist, with it, i really do get his turns to come faster as the enemies begin to drop dead. Without it, you'll probably need Kylie to speed him up.
Lastly, Gisele has a skill called Pincer Attack, where when she attacks, the pet will follow up that attack if the target hasn't died. This is AMAZING to use. I throw my pet next to the bosses, I throw up a flare for that 10% extra hit, and have Gisele use an aoe laser skill to kill off minion and hit boss at the same time. Boss is frozen by frog and drops to low health. 1s1k gives her back a turn. I use serial shot. I attack another boss who survives thanks to impulse fields, frog kills him off. You get another shot. I attack a minion. Dies, overcharge is now on. I Line up overcharge to the 3rd boss with minion. Minion dies, boss doesn't, then gets frozen by Frog. 1s1k. etc.
Your turn hasn't ended, 2 bosses frozen, 1 boss dead, it's still your turn. Also, with every kill, your pet's AT-10 thanks to altruist, and whatever damage he did take getting there from sniper shots, he's healed up thanks to predator. Oh and when he's healed, thanks to Enough Rest, he gets an additional -10AT and 10 rage.
I don't know if this works best, but It's a great combo to me. The OTHER possibility, is to use pincer beast and Gisele work around FIRE SUPPORT. What happens is that, lets say you have Ray throw a bomb at the boss. Gisele fire supports and shoots the boss automatically. This is immediately followed up with her pet attacking and freezing the boss. If the boss is still standing, your two drones should auto attack he boss as well.
Gisele as a hunter is the only class that can have legendary ice frog, so her maximum fire support is 3 activations. If you do change to Sniper, you'll need a non legendary pet, but you can get up to 6 activations (i think).
Thanks in advance.
it either kills my giselle with perma freeze or dies...
Starlight prison doesn't help and it has 1.000.000 move and range, I have tried all the strategies i could think off to tame it but it's really impossible...
-Impulse fields on Giselle, maybe some specific masteries too like Snowman if you are planning to tame a monster able to freeze you.
-Starlight shield as a buff on her and Recovery support on Anne, that way she instantly heals Giselle if her health drops to 50%.
-The taming takes less time if the monster is wounded, if I remember correctly. It's not always easy to manage the damage dealt because of critical strikes, though. That being said, delaying the monster's next turn works quite well, and for that, Heixing's Suppressive fire is very handy.
taming takes 10% of the monster's health as the time to tame. So if the boss only has 200HP left, it'll only take 20AT to tame. At full hp, the boss will take much longer.
So you have these 2 problems, of either dying or frozen, so lets fix that.
For Freezing, equip either the Anti-Ice Tool (immune to freezing) or equip the Snowman support mastery, immune to ice.
To guarantee survival of Gisele, equip Impulse Fields on her, so she'll take more than a turn to die. As soon as she's hit to half life, Immediately use your next party members to heal her, with healing potions or spells. The moment she's above half health again, it'll take at least another 2 hits to kill her. Get rid of all surrounding mobs, i find ray or heixing very capable of doing that due to their huge range.
If you do both of the above, you could even tame the princess frog boss from full health, because she'll never be able to kill your Gisele faster than your team can heal her.
I don´t have the snowman mastery yet thus my struggle, had no idea there was an item with the same effect, will try and checkout if I can craft it and get that OP pet on my team and reck magenta street/robots with the HunterXHunter build you shared valenesence :)
> -Starlight shield as a buff on her and Recovery support on Anne, that way she instantly heals Giselle if her health drops to 50%.
good call on the recovery support, didn't think about that ( where already using the impulse field, but still I got permafrozed due to lack of snowman so yeah )

I don't know which recruit unlocks this tool in the worktable menu, it's not available by default. Hopefully it's not Leton. ;)
I'm gonna try something later, not sure it will work, but it's possible you don't need any of it.
After staring taming it might be possible to end the process almost instantly regardless of the animal's health with awaken command (Kylie's support protocol).
EDIT: No, awaken coomand ends up with taming failed and you can't start taming the frog again after Giselle's reload (a bug?). Which means for white frog use either the anti ice tool or Snowman mastery.
