Anyone have any advice for drones... I was going to build Kylie with a drone support build. But I cant really decide if that be useful or not. So building Klyie as a scholar until I can decide if drones could be useful.

I made my first Drone, which if I how it turned out.. It feels like a light gunship (scout frame). But I regret not putting the scout ability on it (like the flare) But it wont let me change that. So I'd hve to scarp it.. But does that mean I loose all the parts I put into it ? (I did put some purple upgrades on) I'd like to remake it better but crafting and finding the parts is painful task. And if just lost all those mats and not able to reload before making it. That sucks.

I loved SHIVs from xcom (tract ones at least), So thinking of building something similar. Would transport or reforced Drone be best for that ?

Anyway, I dont know much about Drone building. Am I best to maximize its weight ? Im used to the supressore SHIVs, so feel like I want to build something similar.

ps- Crafting is such a pain in the ♥♥♥. <.< If it was bam bam done.. then it wouldnt be so bad. But iH ave to visit all over the place., then trying to work out where I find the mats and how do I craft them. And then you got to craft all the moduels, The masteries is so much easier when you can double click on what you need.

Instead of scraping it, you can level up and reinforce it's Ai to unlock the modules from the scout frame and it's SP type. I suggest you get farming sets for Irene and Kylie (both can farm parts/machines well), and Anne, Giselle, and Heixing can get a decent farming set for farming all materials. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2025825529 If you get your friendship high enough, you can also buy some Black iron parts from Million (Honored) and blue black iron fiber from Al , on Shooter Street. If you are strong enough, Farming from Blue Fog Distribution Center G is probably your best bet for farming parts, because some parts only drop from the bosses that show up in that mission.

Drone building is a super-late game activity.

Drones become extremely powerful when you've got most of the modules and parts, and have leveled all the drone types to their maximum AI reinforcement (to unlock the additional modules).

Fast, deadly, near indestructible, and highly customizable, their only real weakness is the fuel limit. If not for that they could solo violent cases. And Kylie can bring 2.

However, like you remarked, they require a big investment in terms of time, grinding and crafting materials. Pets, in comparison, come into play much earlier and require much less investment to be good.

If the ability comes from the part (like scanning), you can replace just that part (and yes, you will lose the one you replace).
If the ability comes from the reinforcement (evolution) modules, you can't change them and you'd have to build a new drone.

Transport drones will allow you the most flexibility and can be re-purposed towards any aspect, but you really need pretty much all the modules to realize that potential.
Reinforced drones are balanced between number of offensive slots and good weight.
Fire-fighting drones lean towards defense, while Scout and Incineration drones lean towards offense.
High-speed drones (with the proper parts and modules) are the best scouts in the game, with crazy speed and move speed.

Well more or less, but it gave me a better idea. Since I'm halfway trough with the farming and finished the story, I will also farm the rest of them.


I assume that voilent mission that was mentioned here, is the one with all the robots, I do that one again when I reached max level and have the bonus for most troublemakers.

Drones are definitely an end-game pursuit. Even on cruel with challenge mode on, a drone can one-shot weaker enemies with lower block while taking 0 damage from anything most of the time. With the proper build you will also never really run out of fuel for even a 2-hour mission

Not Giselle, but Kylie can. You'll need to equip the tool "Multiple Calculating Device" in order to do so, though. This item can be crafted in the crafting menu.

Thank you, now i only need to look for multi process unit to craft it.

edit: Of course it's from the robot I had only beaten once in that one voilent mission I plan on doing later.

Haven't looked for many crafting stuff for a while since I nearly finished the story. Was kind of grinding robot parts and tried to get the uprade achivement. Stuff like that.

I kind of don't want to after having some grinding weeks, but maybe I should take a break for a day or two and see if I can figure out some new mastery sets or can somehow craft some new weapons with what I already have.

However I believe I do good with my current equipment and most of my chars have a good amount of Mastery sets.

One last question about the drones, or more the troublemaker list. What are the last two drones features and in which level are they? I more or less managed to do that mission pretty well now even if I was slightly overleveld I suppose, but I'm not sure if I missed some since a few destoryed themself before I entered that building in one of the last voilent missions.

Okay nearly finished leveling up the last drone but again I didn't got the item I needed to create the second drone. Can I buy it at any shop later? Not sure if I even need that so badly to finish the current content, but I could image this being usefull and maybe preventing one or two character deaths.

I guess I put it on easy or whatever and try to farm that one item.
Normally I wouldn't do that, but just playing that level for that one item would be annoying otherwise. I might have played this to much anyway. However I want to complete it more or less.

Max. level and collecting as many researchable masterys as I can before I finish the current content.

The Multi Process Unit is a part that is only dropped in the level 39 violent case Blue Fog Distribution Center. They drop from the Firecron, Lightningcron, Frostcron, and Red Eye (all of the unique Bicrons). Red Eye will only spawn on Hard or cruel mode, and it has the highest drop rate at 8.25%. Irene with Legendary Laborer and Demolisher set is has the best chance for getting the item, and Kylie with Legendary Laborer and Disassemble Specialist being a close second. EMP grenades on some of the police units can be used to defeat these bosses easily.

I try finishing the last two voilent chases first now, accidently entered that level on hard again and lost two characters that had low defence, mostly because I forgot that dash they could do.

I like to think I'm not as careless as in the beginning anymore, but I guess I can't pretict the enemies movement perfectly yet.

Well....not sure how much vill you guys would want for that Item, but I would be nearly willing to rather trade that item, that should work right?

I don't like to farm anymore, i guess I got tired of it when I did two weeks of farming for whatever before I heard of the fast way. At least i got close to max level that way for everyone beside Leeton.

I have plenty of spare Multi Process Units myself, so I wouldn't mind. In fact, I could just make a Multiple Calculating Device and mail it to you if you want. Do you play on the North American server?
