Opening D3 Is A Travesty
SPOILER AHEAD (not a big one)

You know a puzzle can be hard or it can be cryptic.

Opening D3 is a travesty. I had a good time, nice graphics, very atmospheric music and sound and I talked to the AI quite a bit. Big mistake. By talking to it it taught me that the less I say is the better because it can interpret it more easily.

So opening the D3 airlock requires using the "magic word". At that point I was already beyond using full sentences and limited myself to keywords for reasons described above.

I see two main problems with this "magic word thing".

1. You are using a command prompt.....a command interpreter. You don't ask....you GIVE commands. So why on earth would the solution be something you would never do in a shell?

2. Second problem: if this AI has an attitude that is fine, it makes for a better companion. If it made a single hint at being polite could solve or improve interaction I think players would figure this out easily. But no hint was provided, no clue..nothing. You just randomly had to guess the word to use. Good puzzles don't work like this...you are given x amounts of info and you work with it. The info we were given is that beyond D3 there is such a mess we don't want to go there. How does that contribute to the solution here?

When I can't even open the first important door because of such reasons it begs the question whether this game is worth buying.

A possible way to improve this part: you read logs....and conversations are recorded in logs. Maybe put a clue in there like "the AI seems to be more reliant when we use the please word". Or maybe just some random piece of paper you find in the lobby that clues you in....like "politeness opens new dimension". Anything...

I mean, there's logs of Nandi talking to Kaizen and saying Please a lot. I think that was the hint here.

Though i'm replying to a months-old post but still.
