UNO
UNO can't get 2 controllers to be recognized for local multiplayer
I got this on sale over the Christmas sale, and while it installs and runs (after the stupid UPlay is set up and logged in), I can't get local multi-player to work. In SteamOS, under controllers, I have 2 controllers connected, and they work in other games. In UNO, only 1 controller is recognized, and when playing a local game, it's only 1 player with 3 AI players.

I can try reconnecting the 2nd controller while UNO is running, and I get a notification that a controller is connected, but nothing changes. There's no option I can find to add a 2nd human player.

I've tried removing the game, changing compatibility options to force different versions of Proton (I think I've tried 5 of them). But it doesn't change anything. Some Protons don't even launch the game.

Is UNO just totally borked on SteamOS/Linux for local multi-player?

Hi capran! I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble getting two controllers to work for local multiplayer. Please ensure your controllers are supported, you can see the list of UNO's supported peripherals here: https://ubi.li/TCOCX

If they're supported and the game's still not recognising the 2nd controller, please try the following Steam troubleshooting steps:

1. Delete the Download Cache on Steam: https://ubi.li/kU2Ej

2. Restart your PC and login to Steam. Once logged in, try to repair your storage folder as this can also help to resolve certain issues with game files that are damaged, missing or corrupted. On the Steam client, click on Settings >> Storage >> click on the 3 dots on the top right >> Repair Folder

3. Verify your game files: https://ubi.li/hseLZ

Please let me know whether this helps! ☺️
