You get a small white title splash screen with an exclamation point
Ubisoft is requiring an account link to Steam but it’s just not happening.
The workaround is to go into Desktop mode install Steam and Ubisoft Connect. (Remember you need a Ubisoft account)
Pressing Steam and X buttons at once quickly gives you a keyboard.
Use the Firefox internet explorer to browse to Ubisoft site to download PC .exe version of Ubisoft Connect.
Using the Desktop mode’s Discover Software Center, download the program Lutris which will open the UbisoftConnect.exe from earlier.
Now go to both Ubisoft Connect and Steam….install UNO in both.
UNO sill won’t play in Steam but it does in Ubisoft Connect.
Also you can at this point open Lutris and find Steam and Ubisoft Connect links to your games. UNO is in there.
Create shortcut links for UNO in here, they are need for later.
Now go back to Game Mode.
UNO still won’t play from Library/Installed, but a Ubisoft Connect link was created in Non-Steam.
This is where UNO will play from.
(The work you did in Desktop Mode created this)
Hey JammasterC4,
Thanks for sharing these steps that have worked for you, we appreciate it!
If anyone else having issues could please also confirm if the above steps help, it'd be handy for us to know!

The game launches now and I’m able to start and play games locally.
If I try to play online, however, it continually fails when I try to join a match. I confirmed that I’m able to join online matches on my PC, so it seems that there is an issue with online play on the Steam Deck.
The update is a step forward, but not quite there yet.
Thank you for sharing this with us! I'm glad that the update made your game playable on Steam Deck
If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Could you please reread my post? The issue is only partially corrected. Uno on Steam Deck is still unable to connect to online multiplayer games.
Hello redEyed, thank you for your reply.
I am sorry to hear that the game will not connect to online game modes on Steam Deck for you. The Uno game is classed as playable on Steam Deck, this means the game can be played but some settings and adjustments may need tweaking to get the game to work as it does on PC.
Steam/Valve will test our Ubisoft titles for any compatibility issues and will determine how playable they are. For this reason, could you please check Steam's own Steam Deck forum and please report the issue you have connecting online with the game, as we currently do not have any troubleshooting steps we can give you that cater to Steam Deck specifically >
