WHY TF DOES IT SEND ME TO UPLAY ON UBISOFT?

I have the same problem and I followed the FAQ to resolve it but it doesn't work.

i bought it on here a while ago but now its saying its "having problems verifying ownership" or something like that. Very annoying that i can't even start the game i paid for

Ubisoft is trash. Therefore this game is now trash

I had the same problem. The answer to the problem is to create an Ubisoft account and to download Uplay. Then when you open UNO again it opens Uplay and asks you to connect your Steam account with Ubisoft account and after that you are able to play the game.

Are you being sent to Uplay as well when attempting to launch the game? If so, have you downloaded Uplay PC client and linked your Steam and Uplay PC accounts?

My friend literally gift me this game to play it on steam, i don't want to download another platform to play a single game, and i don't even like uplay.

If theres another way that doesn't requieres another platform it would be highly appreciated.

If you buy any Ubisoft product - same goes for newer EA products too, you HAVE to use their platform in order to launch the game and play it, Yes you play the game on steam... you will be able to use the steam overlay, "chats" track your gametime take screenshots and what not, but you're still required to make a ubisoft acc, download Uplay add the license key to your acc,

Then you might ask yourself?, "Do i still need Uplay after i added the key"
Yes because if you wanna inv friends to your game or add anyone in general you gotta use Uplay for that too, that's the way it's and will most likely stay that way for a long time to come,

I just found that out Girlpower. Bought for 3 other friends, 2 having horrible time signing up for Uplay (which they do NOT want to do), my other friend and I can get into online game area; I host; I invite; his invite never works when he clicks on it to join me. Same if we reverse the process.

What a horrible MP interface for what looks like a decent computer adaption of the game. When 3 computer gaming vets can't get a card game working, something is very wrong.
