After 2 shoot em ups we can present you our 3rd game: "Heidelberg 1693", a 2D action adventure set in the 17th century. As you are fighting with muskets, you have to reload after every shot.

We love to involve our community, so we have uploaded a public demo on itch.io. The provided content is about 3 stages with one boss fight.

Korion and Andrade Games join forces to bring „1917 – The Alien Invasion DX“ to Nintendo Switch this week

Ludwigsburg, 18 June, 2018 — Korion Games published the release date for the Nintendo Switch version of Andrade Games‘ genre jewel “1917 – The Alien Invasion DX”

A feast for nostalgics and a furious ride for beginners of the genre: The newest rendition of this memorization “Bullet Hell” shooter presents itself in a completely new light on the Nintendo Switch. With special adaptations for the portable system and the addition of a cooperative multiplayer, it also packs a lot more content than the initial release two years ago. "I am glad to see 1917 DX on Nintendo Switch - the ultimate Shoot 'em Up machine.“, developer Sebastian De Andrade says, hinting at the origins of the genre on Nintendo platforms.
All levels come with increasing difficulty and with a boss fight at the end - the heart of the game. Different airships, weapon types and special attacks are necessary to successfully stop the alien invasion. The more numerous the masses of annihilated alien adversaries are, the more glorious the victory is scored.

This release on Nintendo Switch is now the definitive edition of the game that both challenges hardcore players and, with the help of the coop mode, also helps beginners entering the genre. "It is a challenging game, but with enough patience and level memorization you will beat it", Andrade emphasizes. The NIntendo Switch version will be available in Europe, Australia and North America on 22 June, 2018.

After the events 1917 the alien virus is still on earth. It has infected every DNA on the planet. Only one battle unit can solve this problem: "Siegfried von Hammerstein" is a cyborg "SturmFront" battle unit without any human DNA.

The German Crust Metal band Hellknife releases a new music video in cooperation with the German indie game developer Sebastian de Andrade.

Both are living in the area around Mannheim and both are into uncompromising art. While Hellknife is playing hardcore Heavy Metal, the game studio Andrade Games is producing classic shooting games in the style of the 90s arcade machines.

Indie developer Sebastian de Andrade tells:
"I saw Hellknife at the Rhein Neckar Metal Festival X and was instantly enthusiastic about that we are speaking the same artistic language. Their newest cover artwork shows the Mannheim water tower, skulls and a heavy tank, and I immediately realized that we had to carry out a joint project, because one level of my current game "SturmFront - The Mutant War: Übel Edition" takes place in Mannheim.”

"SturmFront The Mutant War: Übel Edition" is the 2nd game by developer studio Andrade Games, set to release on August 11th. It is a sequel to the 2016 shoot 'em up game "1917 - The Alien Invasion DX", which is also available on Steam.

The talk had a fine and friendly atmosphere with some inquisitive students and young people who want to become game designers.

I told them about the reality of this hard and unforgiving business and that they need a fighter attitude to survive.

At the end of my talk I asked: "Who want's to develop games in the future?" and 50% of the people in the room raised their hand. So good job on my side.

hopefully they dont develop nasty casual games....

I will give a game designer talk about creating classic arcade games. I think this post is only interesting for the players around Heidelberg, Mannheim and Karlsruhe.

Spieleentwickler plaudern aus dem Nähkästchen über
SturmFront The Mutant War und Das Geheimnis der Möve – zwei unterschiedliche Genres im Detail vorgestellt.

Während SturmFront The Mutant War ein schon klassisch anmutender Solo-Arcadeshooter des etablierten Indigameentwicklers Sebastian de Andrade ist kommt das Geheimnis der Möve als kartenbasiertes Boardgame für 1bis 4 Spieler auf den Markt.

Beide Produktionen beleuchten in dem Vortragsabend den vollständigen Werdegang ihrer Spiele von der Idee über die jeweiligen Produktionseigenheiten und den Vertrieb. Ausführlich werden Kniffe, Verfahren und Umgang mit typischen Situationen im Entwicklungs- und Produktionsprozess von Spielen dargestellt.

Für Interessierte, Laien, Anfänger und angehende Profis gibt es im Anschluss gibt es viel Raum für Fragen an die Entwickler.

The first life sign of the upcoming game "SturmFront - The Mutant War: Übel Edition". The game takes place in the same universe as "1917 - The Alien Invasion DX".

It is inspired by top down shooters like "Commando", "Ikari Warriors" and "Shock Troopers".

New update (v. 2.3)

Some of you had the issue that the plane constantly flies to the left. The new update inludes now a small deadzone which should fix the problem. But i was not able to reproduce the bug in my office - everything works fine with my Xbox 360/One controller.

Please give me some feedback if it works now and enjoy blasting some aliens.

Creating an artwork for a game is a very difficult task. You have to ask yourself, what is the essence of the game. Then you have to communicate it to your painter. Thanks god there are people out there who feel the same fire like me. This masterpiece is made by the Heavy Metal artist Alex Boca. He understands Heavy Metal, he understands Arcade gaming and he understands the beauty of soldiers charging into the plasma fire that will vaporize them.

I am so bored by rendered cover artworks, the whole CGI stuff. I am more into the classic approach. Alex told me it was a pleasure for him to paint this battle scene and you see his Herzblut (Heart Blood) in every detail. Yes, it is made digital with a tool called Photoshop, but he didn't used many layers, there are many classic painting techniques that were also used by the old masters.

His classic way to produce art fits perfectly my classic way to develop games.
