I get this error at the very first loading screen where is title of the game, after 1-2 sec the game crash and leave this error message, keeping the launcher running so i have to close it manualy. Please help.

So... About this problem... I have looked elsewhere and tried different fixes and nothing seems to work. Kind of perturbed right now, I just bought the game and it won't run? Good job steam...

Try to make a security copy it worked for me the first time but now i tried to install sundering rise of the witch king mod and i had to delete the game to reinstall it and now it dont work do anyone have a solution thats not to go to their homesite cose that dont work.

I, too have this problem.

Not entirely sure if that is a launcher glitch or what but one thing you could try is going inside your steam folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War finding your launcher deleting it then renaming Medieval.exe into Launcher. This should trick the game into bypassing the launcher competly hopefully fixing t
he issue.
