how to play multiplayer since the game spy id down now?

I never had a gampspy id account so how am i supposed to be able to play multiplayer now since everything is down? Is there any other way?

log in to what? Gamespy ? Medieval 2 multiplayer? because i am sure that it works with Gamespy since i created one in 14 April 2013 and log in just fine.

Yes Log on to the game. Gamespy doesnt even run the Total War multiplayer anymore. The company was bought off by IGN and now (apparently) you use your IGN account to log onto the game and play. But there is my problem, it does not work with my account details. Yes i used the right information, yes I tried updating my account information with new passwords, ect. I downloaded the old gamespy client from fileplanet, ironic that its powered by IGN, and when I successfully linked my new IGN account to gamespy, I still could not log into the games multiplayer.

funny it worked for me , i do not have Medieval 2 total war any more but did try it using Rise of Nation which is powered by Gamespy two , i know it was brought down but still you can use it to play unranked match. it worked for me.

what kind of error it gives you when you try to log on , I had the game in 2011 and worked fine for me. did you try to log on using Gamespy then lunching the mulitplayer from there

I heard that people can still play multiplayer on RTW, its just this one game thats not working apparently. I have no way to follow up on this and I am not buying RTW. So yeah it may have worked for a different game for you. This is a Total War thread so Idk why you said it worked for you when its a totally different game your talking about.

it was already up , the problem it direct you to ign afterwards anyway i was sucessfully able to make 2 accounts in , one in Apr 2013 and one in 22 Apr 2013 sucessfully

yeah well nothing has changed, It still redirects you to IGN, I can still log onto my account there, but when I go to multiplayer on M2TW and enter my information, it fails every time. I think its just the game.

i did send you the information, it worked fine for me , i was able to log on Gamespy clinet without any problem , you could also add friends too. So did you try the account is send you or not. it works 100 % fine for me hope it does for you

Dont worry Spartan, sometimes it just takes a while for IGN/Gamespy to register your account, so just give it at the very max a week (some people DID indeed have to wait that long).
