Dude, i'm sorry i have no idea, this was 4 years ago :P I think in the end i just re-installed it and updated ever ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ driver i had.
restart your computer. and launch steam. and then right click on m2tw and click properties. after that go in local files and click Verify integrity of game files button. then steam will look through your m2tw files. then steam will add files that is deleted and remove files that should not be there and more. after the verifying was completed the campaign worked 100 %. but i lost some of my saves. but it was all worth it.
hah
newb
That only works if the M2 directory is unmodded.
If any file is modified and left for a while, Steam will cache it as being a "true" file. This leads to you installing a corrupt mod, trying to reinstall, and Steam saying "Here have these corrupt files!"
The source for this is basically all of HazardHawk's ranting, and the solution is to leave M2 uninstalled for 30 days.
This is why the practice of folder renaming has been looked down upon as the years have gone by. The best way to launch mods is now via shortcuts (not the desktop ones)
(P.S. I know this topic is ancient OP, but you really should have said you did some modding :P)
I'll try to be more specific the next time hahah, i like how there are more comments now than there was when i actually had the issue.
