Total War: MEDIEVAL II - Definitive Edition

Total War: MEDIEVAL II - Definitive Edition

Any good mods out there that makes M2TW Better, but still keeps the original feel to the game?
Like the Vanilla mod for RTW, i'm looking for a mod just like that, but for M2TW. I love this game to pieces, but i sometimes longs for them nostaligic days playing this game all night when i had school the following day.

So, please. Refer me to some brilliant 'vanilla' mods. Please

twcenter.net - has all of the most popular mods, and still updated and posted on regularly by modders/users like myself. Direct Link to Kingdoms mods (dont even consider this game without having kingdoms expansion... at all. Dont bother with mods either. MUST HAVE KINGDOMS!!!!!!) http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?556-Kingdoms-Hosted-Modifications

I'm giving you two lists, one for your vanilla request, the other for what you SHOULD delve into soon here. The overhaul mods all have the same feel as vanilla, just new eras, units, eye candy items for you to enjoy. Trust me, you'll like what the modding community has put years of hard unpaid personal passion work into....

Vanilla Mods:

Lands to Conquer - Programmed by Jack Lusted, simple AI and faction changes by a guy who was hired on to work for Creative Assembly due to his excellent modding skills. Too bad he worked on such junk new games eh? :(

Stainless Steel - Total medieval overhaul, just a 'juicier' vanilla experience overall, I've put more hours into this than any other mod (been playing since v3, now on v6.4...)

Deus Io Vult - I've never tried, but quite popular and supposedly one of the more enhanced politics/government mods for a vanilla-style game

Overhaul Mods with same game style:

Third Age Total War - the world's biggest LotR Mod, heavily inspired movie artwork on units

Invasio Barbarorum II - Historically accurate 462 AD England, fall of Romans rise of Anglo
Saxons, the unofficial "King Arthur" time period mod. NOTHING left from vanilla really :) Radically different styles of strategy and battle involved

Call of Warhammer - A Warhammer mod about to get a mega update. Hugely scripted, insanely detailed units and well done factions. Sooooo much content in this mod.

Europa Barbarorum II - 272 BC Roman time period mod. Years in the works, released just last year. Total overhaul again similar to Invasio up above. Replay the Carthaginian wars!

The Last Kingdom - Small map of Britain but well done overhaul, replay the Viking and Norman invasions of England during the 900's

You really can't go wrong with Stainless Steel, all the factions are awesome and there are so many things and details added to the vanilla game that turn it in an incredible experience.

The submods included in it let you change the AI behaviour to suit your preferences.

The SS map is very solid and without using bridges and chokepoints smartly and planning in advance your tactics you are doomed to fail badly in many cases.

Check out some Youtube campaign series from LegendofTotalWar or snowhood42o to get an idea of the gameplay if you want.

How stable is Call of Warhammer though? I've heard that it crashes every other turn - basically.
