Otherwise, if you're referring to quick CTD's when trying to browse or select a race from the campaign start, well....I can't really help you there. It happens to me too, and has been happening since the older versions. Maybe it's a cache issue? No idea for sure. Either way, once I do pick a race, I haven't had any issues past that.
I download everything, including the 7.1 patch into Sega/Medievel 2 etc. Then I move the folder I just created to Steam/Medieval 2/mods and rename it tuetonic. When I select tuetonic from the luancher, though, I get the generic Medieval 2 screen, and then everything crashes.
Not sure I'm following...
You have the 3.7 version and 3.7.1 patch downloaded. Delete any current mod data and reinstall; when you get to the part when it asks you where to install it to, install it into D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods\Hyrule, so that a new folder is created. Once you're done, install the 3.7.1 patch to the EXACT same address. After that, rename your new Hyrule folder (with the newly installed mod inside) to one of the base mod folder names. Then simply launch Medieval 2 from Steam; it should bring up a small prompt asking you which campaign you want to play. Choose the one you renamed the Hyrule mod folder to. Don't bother with the M2 mod launcher download.
This method worked for me without any problems aside from the campaign race choice bug. If it doesn't work, something is likely still going wrong somewhere during installation, or it might be an issue with your computer. Also make sure you're spelling everything correctly; not sure if it's intentional or not - and sorry if it's not - but the folders need to be renamed exactly the way they appear when you download a fresh install of M2. You should not have to touch the main M2 directory, either; only the mods folder and its contents.
Yeah, I noticed that if you linger on the race choice screen too long the game shuts down. Whats up with that?
Sweet! Glad it worked. As for the race choice, I unfortunately have no idea...it's been doing that for me since previous versions. Best bet is to simply look at them as long as you can and make a choice as soon as possible.
in game model are good.
