Neither did I but I saw either Gigantus or Mekkerman posting a link here recently.

I just checked and it looks bugged with plenty of crashes. I'm not sure it's worth playing.

Play SSHIP_098 that's a fun mod, also the Last kingdom reforged isn't to bad.

I might play SSHIP_098 in a few minutes:steamthumbsup:

Hmmm, maybe thats why I haven't seen it before. SSHIP is a good mod but very slow paced and I prefer late era. I had trouble triggering the right to rule script in my Norman campaign too despite doing what I thought were all the (several and fairly long and complex) requirements as well.

Is there a longer assimilation sub mod for ROC or is there a script for that already in there?

I used the same longer assimilation script as it was in SS 7.0/ 6.4 in older ROC versions . Currently there is a rewritten version in use in the ROCSS which does only use 4 monitors instead of ca 800 but as most things its not really tested yet. So shouldn´t crash but there could be logic errors.

Playing as Venice on VH/VH the Byzantines seem too strong. Their heavy infantry just absorbs shock cav even from the rear with seemingly no impact (Even sword infantry). Historically they were really weak in this period and mostly relied on western or Turkish mercenaries. Heavy Cav overall seems nerfed. Not sure if this is faction specific.

Also wanted to see if you might consider a sub-mod that only has the Crusader states in Cyprus and Rhodes as it was historically.

We already have the historical starting positions for Crusader states in a custom Historic Campaign in the ROCSS and Unit balancing is also slightly different there so you should try to play this and look if you think the Byzantine Units are to strong there as well, when you are still of the oppinion post it on the ROC Discord or talk to Blursotong, Unit rebelancing will be done as soon as he has finished the new Units, should come in the next months.

Cool, thanks bud. I'll check out the submod. It's on discord right? Would I have to reinstall ROCC? I already have ROCC with your submod installed.

Stainless Steel is my all time favorite total war medieval 2 mod.
the_moon_wolfy Aug 23, 2024 @ 12:42pm
I'm almost certain it's busted. I've tried everything and nothing works. Not to mention it looks buggy as hell and crashes a lot from what others have said; I personally can't even get it to start, so I'mma try SSHIP instead
