Total War: MEDIEVAL II - Definitive Edition

Poland in the Teutonic Campaign?
How can I play with Poland in the Teutonic Campaign? I'm only shown four nations to choose from. I play Total War: MEDIEVAL II - Definitive Edition.

Either beat the campaign as any of the 4 starting nations, or kill off Poland as one of them, then upon restart of game Poland should be playable.

Alternatively you can mod the game yourself in the "descr_strat" file to make Poland playable from start.
Thank you for your answer! Is there already a guide for modifying "descr_strat"?

Well i would recommend you watch this vid first to get a small idea of how to mod in this game, as for just modding the the "descr_strat" file, i dont recall if you actually need to unpack the game files first, and make the little step to make changes stick as its descibed in the vid:

But bassiccally all you have to do in the "descr_strat", is at the top of the file is to move poland from unlockable to below novgorod in playable section:

campaign imperial_campaign
playable
teutonic_order
lithuania
denmark
novgorod

end
unlockable
hre
poland

end
nonplayable
norway
kalmar_union
mongols
slave
end

YW, and remember of course to use "descr_strat" in the Teutonic folder. You can find that under mods, in the game files. Also the YT channel have several other vids about working with the game files for some personal light modding if you want to know more. You can check those out too if you wanna more indept sigth into how working the game files.
Thank you for the excellent tips. I'll definitely try this out and implement it. Thanks!
