Scroll Speed
I turned down scroll speed in the game settings and on the campaign map it still scrolls too fast, anyone devised a solution to this one?

I think the scroll speed only applies to battles. Maybe you can change it by altering some general mouse settings outside the game.

Increase the game resolution - that will (objectively) slow down the scrolling.

I'm going to have to assume you've not actually experienced this issue or you'd know that resolution has nothing to do with it, regardless the resolution the campaign map scroll speed is the same, unsuably fast.

Fortunately as I mentioned above, the solution is a simple one, turn on vsync. ;)

That's why I put 'objectively' - the actual speed (pixel\second) remains the same but it covers less ground in the same time percentage (screen size) wise.

Vsync is a good find.

Edit: just checked, vsync has been switched on by default in my set up for ages, hence why I wasn't aware of it's effect.

I encountered the scroll speed problem after upgrading to a new laptop recently. Been playing this game since it came out on various machines over the years and never had this issue until now. After much searching, and trial & error, I have found the solution that fixed it for me. It's a combination of:

(1) increasing the resolution within M2TW settings (probably to whatever your actual monitor/screen size/resolution is);

(2) enabling v sync in M2TW settings;

(3) using a framerate limiter to limit the maximum frame rate to 60 fps. For example: NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Max Frame Rate.
