Total War: MEDIEVAL II - Definitive Edition

Total War: MEDIEVAL II - Definitive Edition

Tutorial issue
Im gunna feel, and probably look pretty dumb for this, but I dont have a clue how to do the second tutorial. When my advisor tells me to make Rufus board the nearby navy, it says "Cannot move through an enemy's zone of control". Im probably missing something face-palmingly obvious, but Ive tried everything I can think of. Also, the resolution seems to be messed up (2/3rds of the Advisor button is off the screen.)

When you can't move through an Enemy's zone of control, it basically means the enemy army is blocking your path, and you either have to fight them or wait for them to fight you.

Yeah, but the ship is so close to my army that theyre touching. The only visible army on the map at this time in the Tutorial is overseas, where theyre telling me I need to go after I get on the ship. After looking around some, I saw the tutorial is bugged, and that Id need to move the ship. So, another really noobish question, how do I land the thing somewhere else?

Just ignore the turorial. You do not need it. Start the main campaign, Make sure you have advice turned up high. Pick a faction. Away you go. You will easily pick up how to play the game.

It's a bug that never got fixed. :( To fix the bug yourself, just make Rufus or the ship run out of movement for the turn, end the turn, and the tutorial will continue working.

Please tell me how I can move either Rufus or the ship. I can select either of them by left clicking on them. But once selected, I cannot move either of them.

after selecting with left click, right click anywhere and they will move. if they can no longer move, click End Turn

Sorry. I can right-click on the green highlighted area but only get "Restricted Area" and neither Rufus nor the fleet moves. Clicking the end turn button does not work.

The tutorial is scripted and it will not let me do anything other than move Rufus onto the fleet. And he can't do that because King Harold and his army exerts a zone of control which blocks him.

then you'll have to restart the tutorial. I didnt have any "restricted zone" when I experienced the bug.

Restarted the tutorial four times now. Same deal.

Thanks for your help. But I think it just easier to ignore the tutorial and move onto the main campaign.

I guess the TW tutorials are mostly bad, but Shogn 2, now that tutorial was absolutely perfect.

Yeah, the tutorial for this game is entirely un-needed. I did the first mission in the tutorial, and I was set. I took over the world after that.
