Guide to Victory! : Princesses and Naughty Generals.
Hello Stubbs here again, thought I would create another Guide to Victory.. Today going to be typing about how to use princesses correctly and how to pick out the winners in a litter of generals. Now there are two kinds of princesses.. Your pure, well groomed, and carefully watched majestys and then there are your wench of princesses.. Now any flower can be properly groomed into a bombshell of princess and to get one of these it's going to be early game. I have wrote many guides and beat the game on VR/VR with every factions, taking over the world with four of them, one being Scily.. You can not make two High charm princesses in a single game, unless you get an insanely lucky, and birth to a Head turner + Charming Consul + Natural Diplomat + Fine Cosmetics princess.. Now if you really want your princesses to shine you need a few things.. Gold, Gold, and more gold, and saving the game frequently.. Think of yourself as a dad and your princess as your daughter who is going to bring in 1,000 fatted calfs plus a non stinky goat. Every turn you have to check on your princess, if she get's a secret love, or her confidence bruised you must revert to your previous save.. (save before you end turn every two or three turns) Now let's talk about one princess in general for this guide.. Constance of France.. Constance starts out with head turner and lots of diplomacy around her.. this makes a high charm breeding pool.. Now if you want a princess where everyone only want's too please her you must help her grow.. You do this by only using your princess to make negotiations when possible, and checking on her every turn too make sure she is not doing anything unpure. My last play through with France I got constance to two off max, and as soon as my Heir of the Naughty Prince Louis became of age I immeditaly wed her to the new Heir and he loved her high charm and this will create better babies! Now your ugly ducks you marry to the generals you start the game off with, after they have reached age 50+.. Now foran example lets use Guillemot from France (Starting general, not in your royal line) He is a naughty general.. now if your all chivy and alll about keeping ladies leg's crossed you want like Guille. He starts out with the trait Disrespecting Prisoners.. now most people be like.. awww.. I think YES!.. If you see your generals leaning twoards good or evil, if you keep them on that path they tend to get ultimate traits twoards the end.. Guillemot for me right now is age 53 and I'm finally accepting him into my royal family by marrying him to one of my lesser wenches of daughters.. Why? He has been so naughty he has devopled Sanguinary... He can not wait to get blood on his tabard... thats putting it in a nice way.. Now this gives +2 dread +2 command -1 moral for enemiess.. he was fully dread and I took him into a openfield battle 614 vs 786 last turn.. He led the charge against pikes and genovia crossbow's and catapults.. they lost 712, I lost 14 and Milan in about to collapse because of this man... Only general withs true blue abilities should be accepted into your royal family and you want to give them the most hidioues princeses at old age, why? It cuts down on the family tree and spawning too many boys, so when you do marry your wench to a war hero, the few if only one child he does have will most likely turn into hercules... So as a rwap up.. Only dilpo with princesses.. if you have alot of gold you get better perks and chances to get snobs, watch them every turn and save often.. And the runts of the general litters just might surprise you in the end by devopling unique traits, and if these traits serve you, marry them at old age too your ugly ducks. Have a good one!

And one mroe thing on the subject, if you do get a .. not all there, monster killer of a general, and if he does have a son.. he will most likely be mad in the head, and this guy you do not want successing to the throne. It will taint your royal blood, and cause some serious family traits which will hinder you in world conquest.. I lost a world conquest just beacause I had too much gold, and too many blood thirsty generals and rich powdered up lesbian majesties who wouldnt want to have a child with a ugly torn up beast of a general for a husband, and if you do make that matchup they get even more twisted and demented babies.. seriously BE CAREFUL or adolf might pop up in your holy roman empire tree..

Honestly there are not that many traits that are inherited from the mother if you look at the game files. I agree they are underutilized but that's just because they really messed up the trait balance on them.

In my game I had to give princesses a base charm stat of +3 for them to not suck, as unless you plan on keeping your faction poor for the whole game its almost impossible to have them avoid negative charm traits.

You do not know how the princesses work sir. They get charming cosul if you have a big bank when they turn 16.. If the father has admirer of beauty trait the princess will get fine cosmetics. It is very easy to avoid negitive traits.. Save. Check her every turn, if she devoples a secret love, obbesed suitor, or Self Serving, reload from the previous save, the turn before should do nicely. save often. +7 charm princess gives admireable wife and charming wife too the husband with a +1 bonus birth chance for the couple. if she is 8+ it's all the above and another +1 to birth chance.. 5 charm means no negitive effects, 2 charm -2 birth chance.. 4 charms -1 birth chance, and the husbnad will hate them.. IF you marry your males to brides that the game picks for them. nobody, women... they have a charm of 5.. every time. Once they have 7-8 charm or god forbid 10!!! you can buy enemy lands for yourself and get a better price and they won't shun her away since you are super bad to them. I even sold my 9 charm princess to the mongols for 12,000 for 4 turns to put a dent in their gold supply as i pushed into turkey. P.S. very easy to get 7+ charm if you know how to do it correctly.. within 5 turns even.

While I admit I do it sometimes, having to save and reload every turn is NOT what the developers intended you to do and is cheating in a way. And yes that is one good ancillary, but she also has a chance to get several negative traits if you are rich, while you can get the humble traits if you are poor.

Saving & Loading are apart of the game, and it thrills me too see what the proper trimming of a family tree ends up with. I don't reload every turn.. every few turns they will get a bad trait.. the higher the charm the less chance of getting bad traits when it comes to Princesses.. I had a 9 charm princess that was -1 charm because she was rich.. that's life.. My king's stuck up rich fine ass daughter is going to create an insane amount of babies with my monster of a field tyrant general has alot to pass on. I do not accept any marriages or adoptions in the family tree so I have to make the noble daughters desireable.
princesses just give me the sh.its,i never really get them above 6,and that seems like hard work, but most diserable to have
surprised you dont allow adoption or marriage though
my best generals are always aquired by getting a single unit to win a herioc victory someplace somehow, with nightfighter trait as most diserable(only fight with nightfighter to get this)
playing with english at mo.my best this way acquired is 26yrs 9-7-10-5

@Mike . No sir no adoptions or marriages from an outside line, That means more war for the few general I have and around turn 50 I have almost an entire platoon of general body gaurds.. I have made some pretty sick generals.. keep an eye of for my next guide
Stubbs May 27, 2014 @ 9:38pm
It's not about getting strong generals as often as you can. It's about building a legacy, and keeping one family in power of the hundreds of years too follow, and being able to loo kback in the end of the 250+ turns and remember all generals and queens and their traits and what they accomplished in their time.. Hell I had two nephews of the king of spain age 16 both of them, given a citadel (toledo southern france and an army and they held off crusading armies until they were in their late 30s.. and by the time my king actually died, they were full maxed out messed in the head after hitting the execute buttons on 1000's of christian soliders marching upon them, and I just was able to get them cannons to make it all the better.. They massacared everyone, and then they went and burned rome to the ground... Ya know, gotta remember the little things..

This isn't a guide. Anything that involves reloading whenever you get an undesirable result simply doesn't qualify. Anyone can get the best of everything doing this. This is a cheat, not a tactic.
Stubbs May 30, 2014 @ 10:44am
But isn't it Cheaters always win??? I assure you Stooge, this "tatic" is only for the ones who want to make the perfect kick@$$ family tree (because it's fun doing so).. I have beaten this game with every faction.. We are talking world conquest in the alotted time frame, before I even started getting heavy into how the family tree works every nut, bolt, and gear.. Seeing your royal family flourish well beyond means, into s enitre platton full of can's of whoop@ss is fun in my opinion.
