Too many heretics at your place.

The worst thing he can do is kill your faction leader.

He'll kill the three people with the lowest Piety around. In my case, all he did was kill two witches and one heretic, then leave :P

Hate them. as portugal 3 inquisitors came and killed all my family mambers,ALL,i lost the campaign ffs,most ridiuclous way to go down i ever had. couldnt assassinate all of them and they all had OP stats....killed 4 kings and other 3 members.....RIP

No one expects the Papal Inquisitors! To avoid them be vigilant in killing heretics & witches, and keep your generals(agents rely on their rank to survive) religious by keeping them in settlements with religious buildings and agents, while producing both.

Inquisitors are annoying f**kers. They'll pick on any nearby character and try to 'burn them'. If the character doesn't have high enough piety they're toast. Personally I use assassins on Inquistors at the earliest oppurtunity.
