Custom Battle Modes
So I used to play custom battles at my friend's house a lot, and there were all sorts of seiges and things at the format battle page on his game. But I recently installed it for the first time, fully vanilla, on my own computer, and I can't find those options. The drop-down menus for all the custom battle options, such as weather, seige, etc are there, but they're empty dialogue boxes. Can someone please help me find out how? Custom seiges were my favorite part of the game!

Sorry to hear that.... I suggest you try Steam Support (click "Help" in the top lefthand area of this Steam page, and then when the menu opens, click on "Steam Support").

I also suggest you search the official technical support forum for Total War Eras games (including Medieval 2 Total War), and if you don't find your answer there, then I suggest you start a new thread there:

I looked there, and I couldn't find anything... is it an unlockable feature? Do I have to complete a campaign and win it first? Do you remember if this was an issue for you?
Make sure you have a map selected that does NOT have the grey cross/square next to its name.

Yeah, I suspected the reason was something like that. Thanks for articulating it so well. :steamhappy:
