How do you do multiplayer hotseat campeigns?

The Kingdoms expansions have hotseat campaign buttons. In order to play multiplayer hotseat campaigns in the original M2TW game, you need to mod the game.

I reckon it's pretty easy to do that tiny bit of modding. I reckon the only thing that could be easier is having a button - like in the Kingdoms campaigns.

I think there is no another way. By the way , Hotseat game play by email have some good point. That is all the players in the campaign not need to be online at the same time and play the game. Clearly suite for different time zone players. Bcoz it's turn base game , players just play their own turn when have a free time. Then send email the save file to next player and wait for their own turn again.
