Switching from CD to Steam Version?
I just wanted to ask my friends here if this was possible. I purchased this game a very long time ago when it first came out when people used to buy all of their PC games at the store and have the CDs with the Key Code. Is it possible to activate my key code for this game on steam so I dont need to pop the stupid CD in and out of my computer to play?

Top left corner of Steam. Select games, then go to Activate a product on Steam.

Thanks Jack. I will try that now. Just brushing up on how fun this game used to be. What I am really looking forward to is the War Hammer Total War. They have finally create a TW version that I wanted created ever since the first Rome TW came out. They have make a fantasy version. Personally I think they should have created a TW game from The Wheel of Time series. Would have been much better

So it totally worked and was very easy. I didnt know you could activate old games on here. So this is an important question. I installed the game from the old CDs, but Steam does not see it because the status is - Not Installed

Should I just uninstall the CD version and download Steams? I also have both of the Medieval II Kingdoms CDs, but I cannot find the box for that code. Also, if I uninstall my CD version and download Steam's, Will my Medieval II Kingdoms CDs work with Steam's original base Medieval II TW game?

Thank you for your time

Just press the Install button and it'll be good to go once fully installed.

As a side note, if your disc came with the Kingdoms dlc, the dlc will also be installed at the same time.

You should try it with all your old games.
