Total War: Third Age: Do I need Third Age itself to install Divide and Conquer?

I am thinking of getting Divide and Conquer but I just need these questions answered first:

Because Divide and Conquer is a submod to the main Third Age mod itself, do I need the main Third Age mod to install Divide and Conquer?

If not, what do I do with the main mod?

in the past it was necessary to have the newest version of 3.age, but in the recent version they streamlined the installisation.
there are linked videos for the instalisation of the mod divide and conquer for the newest instal.

follow all his steps by his word step by step and you will get a working version. their discord channel is active and friendly as well.

(PS: the next version is near completion, but the change of rule of the mod group could make it take some more months or just days..... it could be more usefull to wait for the next version to get the mod for the first time, so that you can get the full XP of the mod and the last mod version has a hotfix,. that can be missed.

the instal video is found with youtube, just type the name of the mod and install and you will find the content creator, go to the content creator and pick the latest install video, read the description of the video and view the whole video.

Divide and Conquer is standalone. So you do not need Third Age 3.2 in order to install DaC.

Unless you use a version older than 4.0, which, unless you have them, cant be found that easily.

I happen to have all versions since v1.2 because I never bothered to delete them from my harddrive.

Yo I tried downloading Third age and I keep getting the specified does not exist and I'm not even using that path and I have no idea what to do (downloading 4.1)

Get rid of that crap. Third Age 4(or whatever version) is a mod with stolen assets and doesnt even say what it does.

You want Third Age 3.2, as found on TWcenter, instead.

If you want to play Divide and Conquer, then look for it on moddb.

dont play this 4. crap. play D&D version 4 or version 4.6 explicit kazadum dwarf gameplay is epic and the instal is way easier

What do you mean by more maps ?
If you think about battle maps, there's a guide from the same man that showcases how you can put unique cities maps like Minas Tirith, Erebor etc.

No.

My HDD with all my mods on it died a couple of months ago. I had DaCv1.2 up to the latest version on it.

As for TA I only had 3.2 since it's a bit older than DaC.
