I mean yeah ill try but ive already got 9 regions and a pretty small family :/
I'd say how ugly are they, but yeah, at some point age becomes a good enough indication ...
Most of the family members are in their 40s with no kids.
In effect the game tries to give you a family as a percentage of the empire, so the bigger your empire the more family the game will give you.
6 male members for 10 regions.
Honestly I can see myself losing the game to this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at this rate.
I married a general to a high charm princess ages ago and they are now in their mid 40s with no children. Like legit you cant have higher chances for children than that.
I think im gonna have to use a cheat or exploit to continue just playing the game.
Not sure how you came to the conclusion it is dumb doodoo. You not understanding a games mechanisms does not make the game dumb ....
Several medieval families not having children for no apparent reason over the course of 20 years doesnt seem dumb to you?
The game WILL give you bigger family and adoptions if you simply grow your empire.
Pretty females are not always the most nubile. IRL has taught me this, as has this game. The male and female fertility traits are what you want, but unfortunately they only occur naturally, and sometimes they can be hidden on the princess.
The most reliable way to expanding your family tree is to do so naturally:
-Marry your heir apparent to a foreign princess early.
-Use several spies as dedicated princess finders. Keep tabs on their location, age, and traits. Where do princesses come from? Locate the faction leader / heir of other factions, and you will most likely find princesses nearby.
-Use assassins as well. How? Move a spy in / close to a city and have an assassin right click on it. If there are agents in that city, it will reveal them. Spies in a city don't reveal the agents (which is stupid), but assassins do. Use this method to sniff out princesses the moment they turn fourteen. Brb, Chris Hansen knocking on my door.
-Have diplomats follow them around until a marriage opportunity arises.
-Adopt strategically. Adopted sons do not have the fertility trait. Ever. Naturally born sons have a VERY HIGH chance of rolling this trait, and it makes a HUGE difference.
Growing your family is more work than it seems. To somebody who has played newer TWs where agents are all but useless, use all of your agents here to collect information and remain on alert to do their jobs. Yes, moving 30+ spies around every single turn can get pretty sloggy, but that's the price of maintaining an intelligence network.
You should try TATW, the hobbit faction. MotH coming out of your ears after each battle for a while for that very reason.
