idk why but this game keeps crashing on me but i have a strong asf pc `this game is great but it breaks the experience for any tips

try large adress aware (LAA) or 4gb patch game cant use more than 2 GB RAM in Vanilla. https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371 Doubleclick on the 4gb.exe and then choose your medieval 2, kingdoms and mod .exe. for the case you use mods. Also try to run in windows 7 mode and as administrator. Reading the log file after a game crashes may help too, mostly there are hints inside whats going wrong. Theres another thing sometimes during my battles I got an ctd when Flame-catapult fires. I prefer to set the effects on medium in the graphics menu to avoid this ctd.

Yup, that stuff should help. Often it's the low core speed of modern processors that cause a bottleneck: M2TW only uses one core and if background programs hog the first processor then you may have an issue.
