It expanded the map even further and added some settlements. It's a really fun mod, the best well, I don't know.
MOS is more centered around balancing and finding your play style.
DaC is more of expanding your play style to fit different factions.
Just to clarify because I myself don't remember too much about DaC, but they completely redid the map of Middle Earth in that one right? Also, do they encorporate new custom settlements?
But they did expand the map and add some settlements, as well as some new units and unit cards.
:P Not very old too, either.
Thank you for pointing this out, some equally good points on that thread, I think when I get back into Third Age I'll try out Divide and Conquer since I've only used MOS for the longest time
heads-up: Imladris may be OP but they do absolutely nothing except garrison Rivendell, whereas if you play as another Dwarven faction you'll be racing Erebor to the Misty Mountains (a friend played as Ered Luin, and the AI - yes, the AI - beat him to Gundabad).
Dwarves of Erebor are not only OP in Custom Battles but if they own all of the Misty Mountains they can get full stacks on a whim (seriously, the MM settlements all have elite Dwarf units :P)
DaC uses music from EVERYTHING. In order of notability:
The Lord of the Rings films
The Hobbit films (at least the first and second, the third music is GHASTLY)
Battle for Middle-Earth I & II (slightly different to the LoTR soundtrack)
Now for the obscure ones:
Sierra the Hobbit (2003)
War of the Ring (2003)
:P
There are also some other tracks I don't recognise so they're probably from some other obscure game.
I feel like Dale needs their own music though
Movie or game? I know the Dwarves have some Hobbit soundtracks - I've heard Roast Mutton & the main Dwarf theme, as well as Tauriel's theme.
As far as the game is concerned, I've heard the battle music & a couple of other tracks (again as the Dwarves).
