How to play multiplayer campaign?

Hi, how to play multiplayer campaign?

It is usually done via hot seat, eg turn based. The default game is not set up for hotseat, you would need a mod to enable it.

You honestly think the devs are going to come back and add multiplayer to a game that is almost 20 years old?

'not coming back' is the reason why I made that set up of mine, apart from being a mod starter. Check the list of fixes...

i don't understand why they took the hotseat campaign option out of the menu when they released the definitive edition. i bought this game when it came out, one reason was for the hotseat campaign so i could play with my brother 20 years ago, now i want to play with my sons. sucks.

It was taken out ages before that, can't remember how long ago I added the required to my mod set up, probably when the DLC came out and with it the new executable (kingdoms.exe)

Definitive edition didn't change squat in the game engine - it simply bundled the DLC with the base sale, nothing else.
