then you should put the folder with the mod into
\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods folder.
and finally you should run the game (original medieval 2) with
--features.mod=mods/for_king_or_country
parameter
also 'Скачать' = 'Download' for the link above :D
It just won't give me a working shortcut key, that stays in the 'mod' file...Can I take it that all of the download goes into the 'mod' file?..and if not, which goes to where..sorry if I appear dumb right now, but I am getting a little 'ticked'.... Thank you anyway for your help my friend..
maybe i 'll find something

1. Download archive.
2. Extract it into \Medieval II Total War\mods\ folder.
3. Set
--features.mod=mods/for_king_or_country @mods\for_king_or_country\for_king_or_country.cfg
launch parameter.
4. Start vanilla Medieval 2 game.
should work. tell me if you still have any issues.

\for_king_or_country folder should appear under the \mod folder
and this \for_king_or_country folder should contain folders like 'custom', 'data', 'packs' etc.
The for_king_or_country file has mentioned above files inside it, and I played some 'music' samples from the sound file..so that works ok.
But, when I press the for_king_or_country.exe button inside that file, (with icon) it either for a spilt second shows a small box befroe closing, or, just lunchs Medieval 11 Total War in it's normal manner,
So something I am doing wrong, or it just will not regonize that file in the 'mod' folder, even though the damn thing is there...
Sorry to be a pain 'D', but I so much would love to have this working, as it is my 'dream' since school days to rewrite history with victory for the King !!
Your help is trully apprecated with this..sorry to be a pain
By the way, it does not show any shortcut key on my desktop, or anywhere come to that..is it supposed to?
Everything will be OK. I promise.
First, download an archive from
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0ByoSqXari2dUWlItYURGaGg3YWs&usp=sharing
If you already have another for_king_or_country folder inside \mod folder then just delete it before unpacking the archive.
Then unpack it into
\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods\ folder.
for_king_or_country folder should appear under \mods folder.
It should looks like:
\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods\for_king_or_country
This for_king_or_country folder should contain other folders like like 'custom', 'data', 'packs' etc (but NOT another for_king_or_country folder) inside.
Don't touch these .exe files inside it, you don't need them.
Then set following launch parameter (by right clicking on Medieval 2 Total War in Steam, then choose properties, then you will see two buttons something like 'set launch option' and 'create desktop shortcut' (sorry, i don't know how it exactly looks in English version of Steam)), push this 'set launch option' button and insert following:
--features.mod=mods/for_king_or_country @mods\for_king_or_country\for_king_or_country.cfg
Press 'Ok'
Now you are ready to run this mod.
Just launch Medieval 2 Total War in Steam and choose 'Play Medieval 2 Total War'
It should start as the King or Country mod.
I'm afraid i can confuse you with these explanations, but still try to do this
If you need shortcut, you can use vanilla game shortcut. Until launch option
--features.mod=mods/for_king_or_country @mods\for_king_or_country\for_king_or_country.cfg
is here, vanilla game will start as For King or country mod
