Armoured Sergeants for England
Is their way to give the England faction Armoured Sergeant spearmen? because I cannot figure a way to unpack the mod packs that have the files that allow me to edit England into having the Armoured Sergeant spearmen.

You would need to edit the battle_models, export_descr_units and export_descr_buildings file if you have these files in your game folder you don´t need to unpack anything, if not you have to unpack at least the vanilla game files (sorry it´s been a long time since I unpacked my game so I don´t know how the vanilla folder looks like anymore) . Be warned the battle_models file can be a bit tricky to edit especially the vanilla format. I recommend to look at bare geomod from Gigantus there could be a better readable format of the vanilla battle_models file inside. https://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?352216-Creating-a-World-Bare-Geomod If this is helpfull and you are still interested I will tell you how to edit the files, but you could also go the easy route and play a mod that gives England sergeant spearmen ( Roar of Conquest for example https://www.moddb.com/mods/roar-of-conquest ), it just depends of what you want and how much time/work you want to invest.

Correct, BG has all the required files present and will give you a 'sandbox' to experiment in:

I also found that the battle_models file isn´t as big as I thought so if you contact me over Roar of conquest discord and send me the files ( link is on moddb site I posted ) I can also edit the files for you.

They're not big no, but it does require focus to not get silver surfers.

On the other hand, just giving them godlike stats and leaving them as is, makes it quite fun to do have a silver surfer unit decimating entire armies.

I found this tool very handy for silver surfers, also informs you about problems with unit cards, units in the EDU, EDB and sometimes the campaign script as well. https://www.twcenter.net/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=4640

In the export_descr_units you just need to add england to the ownership line of the seargents like this:

ownership france, england, slave

In the export_descr_buildings you need to search all the lines that make seargents recruitable and add england as well or make a new line for england alone like this:

recruit_pool "Armored Sergeants" 1 0.17 2 0 requires factions { france, england, }

in the battle_models you need to give the seargents to england as well but this is a bit more tricky, the file is very touchy and game will not start if you make an error, basicly search for the seargents and add england to the list of factions. Take an entry of another faction that has seargents and copy it, rename the faction to england, there is a number on the beginning of the list that defines how many factions have that unit increase that by one as you just added another faction, there is a second important number in front of the faction that simply says how many letters the faction has for england this would be 7 england, change accordingly, to make things more complicated there are at least two entries for each unit and there is usually another officer model as well the silver surfer checker I posted will help you in finding the officer model in case it´s missing, or look at the export_descr_units there is an entry of the model as well that tells you where to look. Here is also an tutorial for the battle_models file https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php/79455-Updated-formatted-modeldb-file-and-associated-syntax-checker
