hot seat on standard game?
is the hot seat multiplayer only at kingdoms? there is only lan and online.

strange as here is the note, how to play the mongols in standard game:

btw

yesterday I tried the hot seat "control mongols" at Crusade Add on. it worked fine, but no mongols appeared.. the game was running till 1400 when I stopped it.

another question, does it also enable non-automatic battles in AI turns?
I can play my battles, but not if AI attacks at present

ok, the multiplayer works on standard game. thank you for this

but 2-3 requests.

like in kingdoms multiplayer americas the French never appeared (played till 1600 in multiplayer, activated french in strat.exe and choose them in the campaign menu as active player, but the game shows only 1 gamer)

so with your tool, the mongols (not activated in strat.exe, but with box cheat control mongols) in medieval definitve edition never appeared today until 1400 ?!

and finally, the AI attacks battle. still automatically?

mongols, crusade: afaik you need to wait until the faction gets spawned before issuing the control command. You can get them early if you edit the appearance of the 'warning' event.
In the ...\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign directory open the descr_events.txt file and look for mongols_invasion_warn - then change the numbers to single digit zeros. It will then take about 10 turns for the normal spawn to take place.

french, americas: similar, in their directory in descr_campaign_script.txt look for counter france_arrives and change the numbers. A similar event exists for england.

Note: for these changes to take effect you need to start a new campaign

auto resolving battles: here you need to open the CFG file of the mod, open it with Notepad and change this value autoresolve_battles from one to zero.

ah ok, so I have the instruction read not correctly ;) and must wait until the mongols arrive.ok. and same with french and so on. makes sense.

the auto battles Icould solve. it was not clearly for me, what I have marked before the begin

ah not crusade, standard campaign.

I tried it with the standard game and with your mod.
after 30 and also after 50 rounds in your mod, no mongols appeared.
but set it to 0 date (also timurids)

just tried again.
hot seat

starting with papal states.
have given them ai control.

now it is 1380 year and no mongols or timurids appeared.

I will use now the original event file from your mod. and try again

Make sure that when you edit a file, you change it to read-only.

Sometimes the game gets in the habit of undoing your edits.

ok, never happened on descr.txt.
but it is possible.

but this is not the reason for the missing mongols or timurids in this game?
at round 152, none and nothing happened....
