Gunpowder, Timurids and The New World are the other events, besides Jihads, though Crusades and Jihads aren't really "events" like the others -- they're influenced by the AI, while the others just happen at a certain time.

Wallace shows up in Britannia, and there's a bunch of other new events in the other campaigns.
The other events include finding the New World, Contacting the Aztecs, the Black Plague, the Timurids, Papal Coronation. The ME factions do not have as much detail so the Jihad does not have a corresponding vid.

Here's the vanilla ones if you don't care about spoilers.

While this thread is quite old, I found it when I wanted to quickly look up the events myself.
Here are the important events:

Warning Mongol Invasion: between turns 64 to 72 (actual invasion is shortly after)
Gunpowder: between turns 105 and 110
Black Death: turns 133 to 137
Warning Timurid Invasion: between turns 144 and 152 (actual invasion is shortly after)
World Is Round: turns 160 to 164
First Printing Press: turn 187 (gives HRE access to a Printing Press and Printing House buildings)

(Not sure if there are any other faction-specific building unlocks.)

There are less important ones too that happen every game that would only affect the player under specific circumstances, for instance, if you play the Turks and manage to take Aleppo before the "Disaster strike Aleppo" Event you'll have a damaged city and lose some pop and such. Then ones like Hero of Zero, and Making the Wind work are just ones of historic importance that essentially without them we'd be no where near the tech level we are at today

There are also random earthquakes and the like, which can cause problem in a playthrough (your perfect stack just happens to get hit), or a storm that wipes out a ship with key people on board (as the Plantagenets had to deal with the consequences of the White ship sinking: The White Ship (French: la Blanche-Nef; Medieval Latin: Candida navis) was a vessel that sank in the English Channel near the Normandy coast off Barfleur, on 25 November 1120. Only one of approximately 300 people aboard survived, a butcher from Rouen.[1] Those who drowned included William Adelin, the only in-wedlock son and heir of King Henry I of England, his half-sister Matilda of Perche, his half-brother Richard, Richard d'Avranches, 2nd Earl of Chester, and Geoffrey Ridel. William Adelin's death led to a succession crisis and a period of civil war in England from 1135–53 known as the Anarchy).
