Note: The Kingdoms expansion game has been migrated into the base game and will no longer show in your library. It can be accessed by selecting the desired expansion type from the Medieval II: Total War game which should now be in your library (assuming it previously wasn't).
Have you heard what I even said? Read my post all over again. And it turns out actually you can get Kingdoms to work despite the patch. If you tried loading up a Kingdom campaign from the Steam menu and it doesn't work (or maybe if it doesn't even appear at all), right-click on Medieval 2 in your library, go to the properties tab, and then press verify game integrity. It should be able to work.
Well, I guess all that's left is calling Steam service. Seriously, I don't know how you ended up so unlucky, especially when solutions are given and they don't work.
I've managed to start Kingdoms with SS 6.4 mod. The problem was that executable named "kingdoms.exe" could not be found, nor could be "launcher.exe".
Solution: copy "medieval2.exe" and rename it "kingdoms.exe". Now I could use SS launcher to successfully start the mod and play 12 turns into the new campaign.
Hopefully it helps!
But not one person asked about SS on this thread its irrelevant. If he posted that on a thread actually asking how to get SS working on the new med 2 i would congratulate him/her.
