Development on TATW 3.2 itself stopped some time ago. That hasn't stopped submods.
Divide and Conquer is a pretty cool submod, if less balanced than MOS. Truckloads more factions, lots of really OP stuff, lots of really terrible stuff to make up for the OP stuff (eg Lorien's earlygame units are on par with most factions' lategame, but they can't recruit them because their economy sucks hard, to say nothing of Dol Guldur next to them.
Reforged is multiplayer-only which means that you won't get your one-more-turn fix. :P
As a noob in this mod, what is 'doomstack'?
That said, I've never played MoS myself but I've heard it's very script heavy so that could increase your turn times by a lot. DaC is fairly balanced imo since every faction is playable though I've yet to play OoMM really :P.
Some factions are obviously easier than others due to units (Elves/Dwarves) whereas others have a huge economy (Harad/Rhun/Umbar) that allows many armies to be trained.
If you're looking to play a DaC campaign where you auto-resolve alot, Dwarves.
DaC is the submod still in development, MoS on the other hand I've got no idea about if that is still in development. The mod team for DaC hopes to release v2.0 by the end of quarter 1 (So by the end of March).
I have DaC with the 0.52 patch and I want to switch to 1.2, when I install the update i always get stuck at the ballista_tower thing and when I am done, I click on the game and I'm still playing on 0.52? So Confused.. pleeaase help!
If you make your own thread instead of hijacking other threads, sure.
Reinstall DaC completely. I had that issue and the only way was to completely reinstall DaC.
Sorry! Kinda new to the whole “Steam Community” been on here for 5 years only playing games nothing more so Imm a newbie, my apolagies!
And then ONLY install the 1.2 patch I reckon?
You should have a folder that currently contains your 0.5.2 DaC files.
Move that somewhere far away. Delete it, if you're not sentimental.
Reinstall TATW 3.2 as per usual. If you're lucky you made yorurself a TATW backup folder. If you're not... well... go reinstall TATW 3.2. (Make sure it works before installing DaC on top of it, too).
Then download all the latest DaC installers off moddb: 1.0 part 1.... 1.0 part 2.... 1.0 part 3 ....... 1.2.
Run 1.0 part 1, and wait for it to finish.
Run 1.0 part 2, ""
Run 1.0 part 3, "
Run 1.2, and voila! That should work.

Traitor -.-
Hey, I though it was better to help and derail a topic than to not help at all. Sindar is enough of a newb to double-post, so I thought I might help him out by not sticking to the letter of the law.
:(
No, because I'm still running DaC v1.01
