Next to that, I doubt they put much emphasis on the battle Ai considering it's a multiplayer focused mod.
As for battleAi's that are out there...
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?453503-ReallyBadAI-Battle-System-v5-7-Released!
And is this even compatible with third age reforged ? It does say that this ai will use hero ability in third age. But note that third age and third age reforged aren't the same thing. It only seems to integrate with third age... that's a shame.
Downloaded and installed it. I can definitely say it doesn't work.. such a shame.
I haven't tested that ai mod yet so I can't say much about it working or not.
I also don't know if theres a different combat ai for skirmish battles and the campaign, as I assume the mod is build for the campaign ai.
Otherwise, jump on that forum and question around.
On the mod page it says you have to install it on the parent folder of your mods or as it is called the mod folder. So I opened the installer and directed the installer to the mods folder, launched the game and when I play a siege on minas tirith, my 2 AI ally armies just starts stacking themselves on very small portion of the city which makes the game lag and leaves the opportunity for the attackers to capture the city. In the meantime half of the enemy army starts going away from the city until they decide to come back some time later in the battle. I also have noticed that the attacking AI army tends to drops their siege towers.
I might go in the forums but as third age reforged does have new folder, replaces faction , etc .... I don't think it's compatible with third age reforged.
Thanks for the help anyways.
So I suggest you test it with normal battlemaps before you start making judgements on whether or not the AI mod works.
See that's a big problem.. land battles works fine. Even with the normal vanila AI. Only problem is third age reforged's main feature are a huge variety and diverse custom cities and battlemaps.
Every problem i have encounter were in these custom maps.
So if an AI mod fixes something that was already fine for me then I guess i might as well stick to the vanill AI.
If you want to play on custom maps, play those on DaC or MOS or even any other singleplayer focussed mod for TATW.
That guarantees the AI is capeable of fighting on the map.
That sounds neat. Though i couldn't play with AI. Also do those mods support custom battle ? And do i actually need to buy the kingdoms dlc as third age reforged worked perfectly for me without having the it.
Well i'll have to buy it i guess..
But why does the mod need a dlc anyway ? And what did kingdoms added ?
What do you mean ?
Did you mean that kingdoms is a newer version of the game ?
