I'm giving SSHIP a very thorough look. Give it to me straight, what's your judgment on the mod vs. standard SS?
A few questions:
-More settlements. SS added cities of its own. The number of cities I see on SSHIPs map raise concerns about settlement clutter. The modders want a more accurate and detailed map, but does that actually WORK in practice?
-Supply and Morale. SSHIP has its own supply/morale system. I'm guessing this overrides all of Byg's Grim Reality system?
-Recruitment. As far as I've experienced, one of SS's best balancing factors is its limitation on recruitment, which made a player essentially "make do" with a varied hodge-podge army (until the very, very late game where you could slam out professional units like they're going out of style). How elegantly done is SSHIP's recruitment system in comparison?
-Turns. Seems that SSHIP harkens back to Rome 1's turn system. 2 turns = 1 year, and family members age accurately. Vids on the internet are sparse when trying to figure this out.
-Finally, challenge. I'm a Salty Spitoon kinda guy. I love fighting tooth and claw to scratch out and protect my precious little kingdom from all sides. How ruff'n tuff is it?
