Third Age Reforged Help

I'm trying to download Third Age Reforged but im having problems. I downloaded the 97.1 version which i believe is the most current (if not lemme know) and tried extracting files with 7 zip and put it into the mods folder and didnt work. Need help plz to enjoy the mod>

Check the steps below(Note Step 3, this is required for starting the mod):

Step 1: Download the "Standalone" Third Age Reforged Patch 0.97.1 ("NO PREVIOUS MODS OR PATCHES ARE NEEDED")

Step 2: extract the files to your desktop and run the .exe file in Third Age reforged 0.97.1 folder

Step 2.1: direct the installer to the medieval 2 mod folder which is most commonly this path: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods". This mods folder should now have a Third_Age_Reforged folder inside of it once succesful.
MAKE SURE THAT THE FILE PATH IS CORRECT. If you have already run the installer once you have to run the uninstaller before you can change the installation path in the exe

Step 3: Go to your Steam Library and right-click on Medieval II Total War, select Properties, and then Set Launch Options. Insert the following string:
--features.mod=mods/Third_Age_Reforged

Step 4: Once you have done this, you will be able to launch the game by choosing the first option when launching the game on Steam. The option will simply say "Play Medieval II: Total War". This will override the default Medieval II game, so if you wish to launch the original game after installing the mod, simply remove the string from the Launch Options you inserted in Step 3.
