[Resolved]Where is "kingdoms.exe"

Some mods needs "kingdoms.exe" to work (copy/paste in mod folders for some) but I don't understand where is this file.

Any help ?

You won't find it because it doesn't exist anymore but the medieval2.exe is the same file so just copy and rename it.

Locate the steam folder containing the game's executable: in your Steam game library right click Medieval II: Total War and select 'Properties' in the drop down menu. In the new window click the 'Local Files' tab and then click 'Browse Local files'.
Make a copy of the medieval2 application file: select\highlight the file, press Ctlr+C and then press Ctlr+V. This will create a file named 'medieval2 - Copy' - now select\highlight this file and press F2, this will allow you to change the name of the file. Proceed and rename it to kingdoms, press return once you are finished.

That guide of mine has been updated a while ago with a small download - that will do automatically the things for you that you quoted in case you are not familiar with that kind of stuff.

Wouldnt unzipping the downloaded folder into mod folder and renaming it to one of the 4 "kingdoms" expansions work?

Same process as you do with Third Age and Third Age Reforged.

That's the dinosaur method back from 2014. Needs repeating for every single mod and you only have 4 options.
Simply follow my guide ONCE. Then make a short cut to the bat file of the mod if it is a zipped mod - as I am sure will be described in the installation instructions.
Mods with their own installer will create a shortcut themselves.

ive done all the renaming and it still says that

then you somehow managed to install the mod into the wrong directory
