How do you hotseat?

I heard about this "hotseat" thing and I wanna know how to do it. Also how do I join one since none of my friends play this game.

Hotseat is essentially a multiplayer campaign where, depending on the parameters set by the host, players can hop in and join the campaign at any point. Not only that, you can set it up to play as multiple factions at once. Go to the multiplayer option ingame and there will be an option to create one.

Most people utilize it for mod testing, or to play as two (or more) factions simultaneously in a single campaign.

I've only used it for testing purposes, but I believe it is a LAN only option.

The LAN option is usually for one time online battles. And then there is the 'save game' option, eg you play your turn, save and pass the save on to the next player.

Hot seats is fun. You can end up playing two factions at the same time by setting up a game to run on your pc/laptop. Though don't know if that would crash the game if you initiate a battle with yourself

I put a few heating pads on my seat and wait like 20 30 mins and you are good to go
