Just to help whoever that is going to answer:

What OS are you running?
Are you running any mods?
If so what ones?
Are you using LAA?

Windows 10 and third age but it has worked for about 2 years without incident, and no clue what LAA is.

Large address aware allows the game to launch with more than 2GB of RAM (uses 4 instead) helps stop crashes and is generally required for most mods to run smoothly

You can get it here:
https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/large-address-aware.112556/

Or here:
http://www.moddb.com/downloads/large-address-aware1

Run it and tell it to patch your medieval 2.exe file (check the box!)

Thank you, but sadly it did not work :(

You're welcome, I am not very experience with the TA mod nor MTW2 in general when it comes to errors and the likes, but I can try and help a bit.

I assume you followed the instructions all the way to the letter? As in named the Third age mod folder to Teutonic or Crusader or whatever like it says?

Also does the base game launch with no problem?

Also trying a verify game cache/fresh install of both the game and the mod may fix the problem (I ran into a bug with Third Age FROGS and had to reinstall to fix the problem)

After uninstalling the game I found that I had 14 gigs in this file, so i checked and there was another medival 2 copy right there, i have no idea how that happend but that was the problem :D thanks for the assisst mate.

I assume you know that installing Third Age and renaming it to one of the Kingdoms campaigns is a sure fire way to mess up everything.

Hmm must be different for FROGS then? Thank you for clearing that up for me, appreciate it

I've never heard of FROGS....Third Age 3.2 is the most played version of Third Age Total War (alongside Divide and Conquer and Reforged) but the whole point of installing mods is to ensure they are in their own folder.

Even those that have finished development pre-steam should be installed into their own folder.

FROGS is a submod just like DaC and Reforged, it is in their install list of things to do so I followed that to the letter and assumed that was the correct way to do things >.< Makes sense now why other mods I have played do not have that as one of the things on their list :D as I stated in one of my first posts, I know very little about MTW2 and TATW file structure and the likes, hence the beginning questions to help someone more knowledgable than myself to be able to bypass some common questions and go straight to helping :) I will try and remember that point, as it will be good information to hold to

The renaming method is archaic and should be avoided at all costs. All you have to do is copy your medieval2.exe and rename it to kingdoms.exe and 99/100 mods will work just fine.

Alrighty

LargeAdressAware just messing up your exe, preventing the game from launching afterward
