When you lance now the game and choose americas it will start Stainless Steel.
Plenty of YouTube vids also how to install it.
@Shadow - and it's not the folder it looks for - it's the file. That gets fixed by the 'easy way' guide.
My suggestion - if you have manually created a kingdoms.exe file in your medieval ii total war main folder as described then delete it and afterwards use the 'installer' from the 'easy way' guide to create the kingdoms.exe file for you.
It's a long story about file extensions being hidden and duplicated because of it.
The mod requires a kingdoms.exe file to be present in the root folder (where the medieval2.exe file is). Simply use the installer linked in the 'easy way' guide to provide that file.
So much for DAC's much touted 'making installation easier'....
