Searching for ways to RECORD battles in CAMPAIGN Mode
The 'MEDIEVAL II' is a Champion's Leage of it's own...the best battle strategy of all times, because it was in year of it's release so far ahead of any competition like no other game of its own era.... because even now after 16 yers it's still pulling you into time-stealing doom of addiction and eternal temptation for re-playability. HOWEVER I reviewed all of those MODs and few of them tried and they were pretty good, but still couldn't find any MOD with enabling the RECORD of battle also in CAMPAIGN MODUS (this gap was thankfully fixed later on with enabling record battle in CAMPAIGN battles as well in another splendid game EMPIRE TW) . Could You please get me hint on whether there is out there some solid MOD or PATCH that would enable also that RECORDING & REPLAYS of battles in campaign mode indeed ? Or didi I miss some good MOD on this ? Thanks for helping hints

And you can't really mod anything there, only create different 'clips' from the same battle.

Not possible - you will have to use third party applications. I actually get irritated by the pop ups from Xbox and Nvidia suggesting just that every time I stat the game.

Thnx for response, appreciated - yes I got the game recorder ... but you know it's unpractical, not comfortable enough, might be I'm old school. I hoped some smart dude out here could find MOD ways to embedd automatic screen recording from solo battle modus (where it works very well just pushing one button only) also into the modus of grand campaigns.

There is a configuration for a cinematic editor - but it does require a battle save done by the game to start with and as far as I know it has issues using the default sav file ** from the last campaign battle.
For custom battles it enables free view and recording of the saved battle.

** file name: previous_battle

Only real bet for what I'm seeing is somehow baking replays into the campaign. It's not a recording, but it is an internal alternative to the above. One thing's for sure, outside of this, old school is not going to help you mod something that, well, allow me to fall on a quote,

"One does not simply mod in battle video recordings"

OBS is about as simple as you will get, I think you'll just need to adapt to what is basically the simplicity standard.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

theres a thread on Twcenter explaining that its possible going into statistics screen, saving the campaign then going to the replay file but i cant see the rest, for some reason the page dosent load, maybe its on my end if you wanna try,

yes its a 4 years old thread, but Medieval 2 is intemporal
