Report a translation problem
I've installed BOTET somewhere last year without any issue. Just make sure you install BOTET into it's own folder (so no renaming!) and make sure you copy the medieval2.exe and rename it to kingdoms.exe.
Then simply use the launcher that BOTET comes with and you should be fine to play.
It is advisable to use a program like LargeAdressAware to increase the stability of the mod since it can crash due to RAM restrictions the game comes with.
