Best mods?

I know about mods like Stainless Steel, Deus lo Vult, Broken Crescent, Call of Warhammer and these popular mods. But, are there any other good mods like these what I named or mods, that impove Vanilla game?

The vanilla game, I like a selection of
- Retrofit 2.0
- Custom Campaign Mod 2
- An earlier version of Total Vanilla Beyond/late version of Total Vanilla (later TVB's went too far from vanilla and did a few things that I cannot reconcile for me to suggest it).
- Land to Conquer
Purely based on vanillaish gameplay. There's other big mods I could mention if you're looking beyond vanilla.

Most notable ones that exist that you haven't mentioned and that I've actually played are
- Third Age Total War, submods Dagor Similarian (something like that), "Fourth Age Patch" or some such on TWC that is unofficial, MOS and last but certainly not least Divide and Conquer.
- Elder Scrolls Total War (unofficial patch = a must)
- Westeros Total War (it's almost at a release version and has several decent standalone submods)
- Europea Barborum 2 and Conquest Britannia, both set in roman times.
- Battleaxe mod for medieval 2 that quite literally axes all diplomacy in the vanilla game and adds various units/factions to the rankings.

World map conquest mod with several campaigns starting on different times and different scenarios. has its flaws and some bugs but i would say its worth checking.In over 10 years playing MTW this might be one of the mods with best potential by far,albeit with some flaws.

Agree, great mod, ive been playing it for some time and with my friend in hotseat.
Also personally i really enjoyed https://www.moddb.com/mods/das-heilige-romische-reich, it gives you option to play in better depiction of Holy Roman Empire, with many new states, new emperor elections, anti pope and stuff like that, much more immersive if you look for improved European experience.

My last question is: Are there any mods or skins for the game? (mods that reskins units and these things) and are there any combat enhancements?

Is there any camera mods ? After playing in a new total wars, I can't stand to play on that older seetings and this hard to control camera..

Its a matter of habit really. use the arrow keys and keypad if you have one,and the mouse.

All these mods contain reskins withinh the mod itself. is this what you were refering to?

Yes, I just wanted the basic factions to be reskinned.
