I can't click on armies/cities in campaign map.

So my desktop just broke and I'm stuck using my crappy laptop for a while. So I decided to install medieval 2 because I haven't played it in a while and even my crap laptop should be able to handle it. So I adjust the graphics to the lowest settings to avoid issues and I load up a campaign as The Holy Roman Empire. I immediatly notice that clicking on cities does nothing. Then I start randomly clicking around the city desperatly and eventually select it. It seems as if the place I need to click is not the same as where the army/city is on the map. Also the names for cities aren't exactly where they should be on the map. Has anyone else has this issue and if so how do I fix it?

Sorry to hear that.... I suggest you try Steam Support (click "Help" in the top lefthand area of this Steam page, and then when the menu opens, click on "Steam Support").

I also suggest you search the Total War Center technical help forum for Total War Eras games (including Medieval II: Total War), and if you don't find your answer there, then I suggest you start a new thread there:

Thanks. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with the graphics settings and that fixed it somehow. I guess putting the graphics at the absolute lowest somehow breaks the game.

Keep in mind that when you've got messages related to recruitment and buildings completed that you have to close the message before you can open the building tab.
