Can't train Ritterbruder, dismounted or mounted. Help please.

So I'm 118 turns into a Teutonic Order game and a couple turns ago I noticed I could no longer train any form of Ritterbruder in my major citadel. I have Earl's stable and armoury, but the unit picture you click to recruit them no longer appears in any of my other castle type settlements that should be able to train them. I have already trained both mounted and dismounted Ritterbruder, but they can no longer even be retrained to replenish caualties or upgrade armor. Is there any sort of fix, or am I going to have to finish the campaign without my best units? I'm playing on a mac and have no cheats or mods downloaded that could be affecting this.

I believe they require a certain amount of your faction's religion, have some pagans/heretics/etc converted some people in the settlement you used to train ritterbruders in?

I totally forgot about that stipulation, that might actually be it because Novgorrod has been particularly annoying with priest spam I'll see if that is the issue.

That seems to be it, so used to not really caring about religion to much that it must have slipped my mind, thank you for the help.
