Space needed for mod
How much space do the mods like third age take up?

Roughly 7 GB for Third Age. Comined with DaC it's about 14 GB. Hyrule Takes about 7 GB as well. Elder Scrolls is 6GB.

They don't take up to much space don't worry

What you have to worry about is if you install wrong and need to purge the game

What does DaC add to third age?

Lots.

DaC plays completely differently to TATW. It is literally the difference between TATW and the GC, and TATW and DaC. They play completely differently and the only similar thing is the lore, background, and some units.

DaC also is meant to be played in the campaign. If you prefer custom battles and online battles, there will be a mod released in the next few months called Third Age: Reforged. Can find it on moddb. It will also be coming with the units and factions from DaC, but plenty more as well. But don't expect to be able to play the campaign with it.

Thanks guys. Another question what is TWTA and the CG?

And can ihave all mods installed at once?
Dievorhut Dec 5, 2016 @ 5:16am
TWTA is Total War: Third Age. Not sure what GC is, but it is probably a sub mod like DaC.

As for more than one installation, as far as I am aware you can have up to 4 mods installed (there is probably a way to get more, but I haven't bothered to look).

You download the mod, extract it to the mods folder in medieval 2 install. There you change its name to one of the campaigns.

For example:

You change the americas folder name to americas_1 (so that you can keep it, should you ever want to play it again and dont want to re download it), then change the third age folder name (or whatever mod you choose) to americas. Then go into your steam library, click play on medieval 2 and choose the americas campaign.

I probably havent made much sense, but there are plently of tutorials and what not on youtube, forums or even guides for this game. So just check those for something easier to read.

You can have all the mods you want installed in their own mod folder with their own launcher without messing with the kingdoms campaigns.

One, TWTA is "nonsensical gibberish." :P TATW is Third Age: Total War, not Total War: Third Age. :steammocking:

Two, GC = Grand Campaign, the original from-Britain-to-Egypt-screw-the-pope-oh-***-mongols Campaign.
