Better camera mod?
Just bought this yesterday and noticed the camera is total cheeks, is there a better modded one out there or am I stuck with this one?

Apart from the fact that freelook is super awkward to use.

Why? It's simply using the arrow keys, what's so awkward about that?

Maybe it's just me being used to the camera style in Empire and the later titles, but to me it just feels clunky. It's not a major issue by far, but I prefer the later game control sets.

Why? Doesn't matter if it's wasd or arrow keys.

Next to that, there's 2 camera's available in every TW game, the Total War camera and the RTS camera.

What I mean is I like the feature of being able to hold down the MMB and be able to look in any direction.

As far as I've noticed, neither of those changed anything.

Same for me, this is the only TW game I've played that came out before Empire

If you need to look in all directions there's a mini-map for ya. Even with 6 armies on the field the camera does perfectly fine imo.

Just get used to it and if it's the one thing bugging you, then don't play. There's no camera mods available afaik so there's not much choice.

I love how someone asked if there was a mod about something and you got out of your way to say "why? its fine like this, your opinion is not valid".

In my opinion, the medieval camera is crap, the only thing that makes me not want to play, so I googled where can I find a better camera mod.

change the camera controls to fps in the options and you can use WASD

change the controls scheme from default to fps mode, if its not good enough you can also use the free cam mod

and uhh sorry for all the old idiots who cannot fathom some people dont like their game the way it is and may be coming from newer titles, the camera is complete garbage but its just a relic of its time

another fair warning if you are playing with mods free cam could cause instability, but if its the base game then its fine.

The camera isn't realistic anyway. Clearly, the game's developers must have had a time-traveling photographer on their team. Who needs historical accuracy when you can just point and shoot your way through the Middle Ages, right? I bet in Medieval Total War III, we'll have smartphones in ancient Britain, complete with emoji chariot races. 📸🐴
