Total War: MEDIEVAL II - Definitive Edition

Total War: MEDIEVAL II - Definitive Edition

I have a CD copy of Kingdoms, but no product key.
So I posess a store-bought copy of Medieval II: Total War: Kingdoms from 2007, but it does not have its own CD key. Neither on the jewel case, 'nor the manual, 'nor the CD itself, and to my memory the installation did not ask for a key (presumably because Kingdoms requires Medieval II to be installed, thus making a key at least theoretically uneccessary). I can provide proof that I own this expansion and would like to add it to the copy of Medival II: Total War that I already have on Steam, but I'm not sure how exactly to go about it.

Any help with this matter would be appreciated.

You should be able to click on 'Games' at the upper-left of your screen and 'Add a non-steam game to my library'. And no key is needed as far as I recall in original install.
Probably just best to wait for a sale if you want Kingdoms on Steam.
